M-D Building Products 14104 5/16 in. x 36 in. x 36 in. White Aluminum Screen Frame Kit

I just finished doing 9 windows with these kits and I'm thoroughly satisfied with them. The quality of the frames and plastic corner pieces is better than I expected. I like that the corners are solid on both sides and not hollow on one side like other brands. They fit together easily; even the corners with the metal retainer clips were not very hard to do.My only criticism is that the instructions are not detailed enough about cutting the pieces to length (see photo). For example, if you have a window that's 28 inches wide and 29 inches tall, you'd need to cut two pieces at 26 1/2 inches and 2 pieces at 27 3/8 inches. You need to subtract 1.5 inches from each measurement because each corner piece is 3/4 inch. Plus you need to be about 1/8 inch shorter for the height (but not the width) to account for the retainer clips that will be on the top edge.Watching a few YouTube videos on installing these is a good idea. It's really pretty easy to do and saves a lot of money compared to custom made screens. Don't forget to buy a good quality screen cloth to go with this kit.

These were extremely useful when we moved in to our new place (old farmhouse). My husband had the daunting chore of making new screens for a few windows ... these worked as described, are durable, and he was able to fit the window without it being too thin. They look professionally done. Would recommend.

Item as described and assembly is fairly easy and straightforward. I just installed these, so I don’t know what the longevity of these frames have going for them.

It said to cut with a hacksaw. Did not realize how thin and fragile it was. Smashed two pieces trying to cut it until I came up with a way to put a board behind And keep it from smashing but then it was too late
