Magic!
I recently purchased a VW Beetle from a garage located very near a railway line and thats off a busy road close to a building site. It was literally covered in little orange rust spots and brake dust which simple washing and polishing wouldn't remove. Using this clay bar set worked a treat... I couldn't believe the difference it made! The paintwork felt as smooth as silk after use. Pictures included show a small section before and after. It is a time consuming process with the clay bar, but is certainly worth the effort. I highly recommend this product.

Worked well
It works well, but the actual clay isn't very malleable. It is very hard when you've used all the sides and want to mash it to get fresh clay to continue. It does get the rubbish of the paint quickly and very well in order to prep for polishing.

Well worth the price
took some elbow grease but heavily oversprayed car looks like new again! I was surprised seeing how how much dirt and tar was removed from freshly washed car.

Simply Amazing results!
My car had to have a door respray, when I got the car home and washed it I dried it and noticed the whole surface of the car was a little rough. This was over spray, rather than taking the vehicle back and letting another idiot loose on it I decided to order this and do the job myself as I knew then it would be done correctly with care. After one hour of cleaning, drying and then applying the product my car is back to A1 condition. I just used one clay bar and perhaps 10% of the detail spray, it took minimal physical effort to apply. I cannot thank Meguiars enough for making such a fantastic product, I can recommend this 100%.

Quite possibly magical
Bought to try and remove some masonry paint that had been spattered onto a car and left to bake for a year, applied the detailer and rubbed with the clay bar and with a bit of elbow grease the car looks good as new, incredible results, quite possibly some sort of magic going on, could not recommend more.

Clay bar convert. Spray lubricant is pricey, when half a bottle needed for one application.
When I bought this product it was £34.99, currently it's £27.99, which is what it should be or less. Also, when it arrived the inside of the Meguiars packaging was slightly soaked in the lubricant though the sprayer nozzle was in the off position.I would have given 4 stars if the lubricant went further (see below). Given 3 stars but consider it 3.5 stars.Inside there was 3 bars of clay as advertised, and a leaked bottle of lubricant. My car:======I have a Mazda 3 2020 model in Polymetal grey, which in UK constant cloudy skies is a deep dark grey-blue. In stark sunlight it appears a matt/satin dull grey. When washed it does have a "shine", not high gloss, but you can see your face in the paintwork.I'm not a person that washes their car every week. And for the moment I don't want to go through a car wash, to avoid the risk of car wash scratches.Since buying this car, I've maybe washed it thoroughly 3 or 4 times per year. During my washes I noticed specks of black tar around the whole car. Typically low down. Doors, wheel arches, rear, and some on the bonnet. My wash method=============My wash process for this car has been.1) Rinse with Karcher pressure washer.2) Halfords trade Traffic film remover. Sprayed on and left for 10 mins.3) Wash wheels.4) Pressure washer rinse5) Autoglym snowfoam pre-wash6) Pressure washer rinse7) Autoglym foam wash8) Scrub body with microfibre mitten. Scrub wheels with brush and separate microfibre mitten9) Pressure washer rinse10) Remove excess water with blower, or silicone squeegee11) Microfibre towel dry.12) Autogym Polar Seal, or other ceramic coating. The above method doesn't get rid of the tar spots. Then I came across clay bar techniques, on a certain free video streaming service on the internet "You" Too(be) may know of.Using the clay===========The Meguiars box had some useless writing on it. For a first timer it wasn't helpful. So, I turned to the internet streaming service for tutorials.I snapped off a third of clay from one bar. This was enough to do my entire car, except the roof (I ran out of time, and the piece was too dirty by then to be of further use). So, I have two whole bars, and two thirds of a bar left.I used the clay in between steps (11) and (12) of my method above. See image, this was after three or four light rubs on a small section of door panel. I was impressed and shocked. In step (11) my microfibre cloth looked clean, but here's a piece of clay telling me otherwise.I proceeded lower down the door to tackle the tar spots. As this was my first time with clay, I played it safe and didn't apply too much pressure. The clay removed tar spots I knew were there from the last couple of washes. Though some tar spots were too stubborn, as I worked around the back of the car, I became braver (or just wishing it was over) and applied a little more pressure. The clay removed the stubborn spots. The lubricant has a pleasant smell. I constantly applied it as the video tutorials told me to. I didn't over apply, but I was generous enough to get a good result. After clay barring my entire car (minus the roof) I have about less than half a bottle left. I don't regard this as value for money. However, the tutorials show how to make your own lubricant, so I'll be doing that in future.Once clay barring was complete, I completed my step (12) and applied a ceramic coating. Conclusion:=========As this is my first clay experience, I can't say if Meguiars clay and lubricant is better than other brands. Before clay barring I ran my hand over my paint work, and then again after. I can confidently say that the clay barring does leave the paint work smooth as glass. I was impressed. But again this is the result of clay barring and not necessarily Meguiars clay.A couple of weeks on and he smoothness is still there. It has rained and I've driven the car through country roads.Overall pleased, though I'll be making my own lubricant when the bottle runs out.

It works
Would have liked an additional clay bar or two for the price but if you follow the correct process this product works as it should. Follow up with the Meguiar 3 step finishing kit and you will be happy with the final results.
