Looks like a phased out or soon to be phased out product
Looks like older version product. Even the accompanied support software no longer works. Also doesn't look sturdy enough. Have to re-order due to broken cover. Highly disappointed. Not recommended to buy.

使いやすく、大容量で申し分なし。
WD ポータブルHDD 4TB USB3.0 My Passport このHDDは少し高いですが、耐久性・発熱・音など総合すると申し分なしです。家にあるディスクトップPCと持ち出しのポータブルHDDの両方で使用していますが今のところ何のトラブルもなく動いてくれています。何よりもこの大きさで大容量は重宝しています。

軽くて大容量且つ電源いらずなので非常に重宝しています。ノートパソコンと共に持っていけば何処でも自宅と同じような環境が作れるので助かります。WD製なので耐久性も問題ないとは思いますが、そこはこれから検証です。

Acronis True Image WD Edition付く、安い。
ハードディスクのトップ級メーカーで信頼性は高い。経験から言わせてもらえば、ポータブルHDDで耐久性を考える人はあえて2TBをオススメする。4TBを買う人はポータブルでは多少無理があることを理解し、故障に目をつむり、大容量を選択してるとの自覚が必要。消えてしまう前提でのデータ多重化を。ポータブルHDDで4TBを信頼運用するのは安易かつ危険すぎます。この際に使えるのがAcronis True Image WD Edition。無料で2023年までダウンロードできて五年ライセンスがある。WD社ユーザーなら誰でも近年のものであれば使えます。Acronis True Image の主要機能は使え、このソフトと併せて考えると他社ハードディスクよりも安く、損失対策としても充分。WDのハードディスクを推しますね。

Excellent if you have a lot of games!
I have a lot of PC Games and it is perfect to storage all my games installed. I own around 500 video games in all my accounts: Steam, GOG, Ubisoft, etc, and it works for me.

Macで使うなら最初からフォーマット済みを買うべきだった
MacBookで使っています。もう一台持ってる外付けHDDはケーブル刺すとそのまま認識しますが、こちらはWDユーティリティからマウントしてからじゃないと認識しないのが残念。（Mac用にフォーマットされていたらこんなことはない？）
