Can you safely use stay brite on water pipes?

It’s silver bearing solder designed for hvac piping , I never used it for water pipe, I would use 95/5 solder it’s much cheaper

Can this cure over an existing traditional acetylene braze joint, with silflos?

I have never tried that but if you are saying you want to repair a leak on an existing silfos 15 braze by laying a puddle of stay brute 8 on the exterior I would guess that could work. Are you saying you want to avoid an evacuation of refrigerant and suction down? I am not sure you won’t have an issue the internal pressure leaking out during th solder operation and causing issues with the repair. Using this however will avoid the need to flow nitrogen while soldering the repair area.

How does the strength of the joints with stay brite 8 compare to 95/5? is there a table available e.g. psi rating vs pipe diameter and working temp?

Can,t speak to any documentation but I’m sure you can get it from stay brite.
