Price per pixel, outstanding!
When I received the screen, I was very impressed with the packaging. I was also concerned that the screen was not in the packaging as the package was so light. However, to my surprise when I opened the box there was the screen, multiple cables, a screen protector, and a "wall wart".Once I had applied to screen protector using the wipes and application tools, I was ready to try it out. By the way, the bubbles will kill you and if you are an obsessive person, you will spend quite a while trying to get all the bubbles out. I wasn't quite that dedicated, and I still have a few bubbles.I applied power to the panel which lit up instantly and seem to come out-of-the-box with decent clarity. I then played with the OSD, which I found easy to use and navigate. Once I was satisfied with the functionality the OSD provided, I moved on to plugging an HDMI interface into it.I disconnected what my 30-inch computer screens and plugged in this new lightweight dynamo. I used HDMI and found the color representation along with the clarity to be well past the price point. No, it is not a replacement for large screen; however, is a great complement for one. I typically have five screens connected ranging anywhere from 4K down to 1080 P. This screen easily fit within my display area and was a great representation of the images on other screens.I'm not a gamer so I can provide how incredible the view is while gaming but I can tell you I do photo and video editing and while I would not rely on the colors for print, the colors are great for gauges and other text areas typically displayed. And then, much to my amazement, when I plugged my Android Note 8 into the display, a complete DeX desktop appeared. I have tried other DeX displays, only to be quite disappointed in the capability. But here I was with a smart phone and a lightweight panel now capable of editing documents, trolling the web, and basically using the phone as a lightweight computer. What amazed me the most was it all just "worked". I didn't have to do any fiddling, I didn't have to change any settings, I simply plugged in my phone and the DeX desktop appeared and I can work flawlessly. To interact with my phone, I use a Sensel. DeX had no issue with this and both the mouse and keyboard work flawlessly. While these are not functions of the screen, the screen allows someone to use their device as a makeshift laptop when they are away from their primary computers.I'm also a tinkerer, and so I have plenty of "PI's" laying about. I could plug any of my pies directly into the device and it simply just worked. The screen displays were phenomenal and the screen refresh was more than enough to keep up with things I do on the PI's.But now here's where it gets unbelievably interesting. I have a 3D camera from Sony and I plugged the HDMI output from the camera directly into the screen. It came alive and displayed images perfectly. While it's not a 3D screen it provides a beautiful view of what the camera sees and therefore makes my wife happy as she can continually nag me on how to compose the image. So I guess this is both a bonus and a curse! For audio, I am not the correct person to tell you about that. I am a disabled veteran and hearing is one of my issues. It seems to be decent audio; however, I would not be the one to tell you if the audio is something to purchase this screen for. The supplied audio jack works and supplies audio at a respectable level. So, you need audio at the screen...this panel has what you are looking for. While I rated the display and overall, five, I wanted to take away a couple of fractional points for minor issues. First, in today's world of screens, "touch" is critical. The inability to get touch someone annoyed me. When the images from the Raspberry PIs were displayed, I continually tried to move the mouse with my finger on the screen. I know this is a screen for gaming and external monitor use; however, it would have been great to have a touchscreen to boot. While the number of inputs were fine, I would've preferred at least one more input and the ability to do picture in the picture. I know that's not what this device is sold as, but in today's world these are so commonplace on monitors that to have a panel display with this capability would have been perfect.Another use case I contemplated for the screen because of its clarity and brightness, was to use several of these in a "photo wall". However, since I can purchase a 53-inch television for less than $100 these days, it would not have been cost effective to use these panels. I believe the panels would've been great and I have a son who is creating an immersive environment as part of an art show in San Diego where I believe I will use several of the screens to assist the viewers on their journey.Overall, this screen was well worth the money spent. I cannot over emphasize how lightweight and bright the screen is. Since you have a 30-day money-back guarantee, I highly encourage you (the reader) to gain one screen and try it out.In another 30 days or so I will post another review (more of an update) on how the screen manages to fit into my day-to-day hectic life.

Great Portable Monitor
This is a review of the Kogoda 13.3” monitor. One of the things that makes this monitor cool is the fact that you can run video, audio, and power through the usb-c port only. This makes it a great monitor for a Raspberry Pi or a second monitor for a laptop. I really liked the low power requirements of the monitor. I can run a Raspberry Pi and the monitor off of the same power supply. One caveat. While the screen is crisp, clear, and has good color rendition, don’t expect it to run with the full power desktop monitors. In my video review, I compared this monitor to one of my HD Dell’s costing 4 times as much. I was still pretty impressed with its performance. Definitely good value for the money. The monitor comes with three cables; however, the one you need to run a Raspberry Pi is not included. To run the monitor on a Pi, you need a HDMI mini to HDMI micro cable. Not a big deal, just be forewarned. Cables included are usb-c to usb-c, usb-a to usb-c (for power when using HDMI), and HDMI to HDMI mini. The monitor comes with a neat case/stand. It is not attached to the monitor but has magnetic strips in it to fold it into several shapes to support the monitor. For storage, the case wraps around the monitor. The monitor also comes with a screen protector. It is easy to put on and I highly recommend you do. The plastic on the screen is a little soft and can be scratched (I had this happen on their 7” monitor before I put the protector on).The manual is fairly well written with lots of illustrations. All in all I think this is a great portable monitor especially in the roles of a monitor for a Raspberry Pi or a second monitor for a laptop. I am currently running this monitor on one of my server computers to see how well it works running 24/7 for a while.I also did a video review on my YouTube Channel Canteen Cup.

A well-built and versatile portable display
After using this monitor for a while, I can say I’m impressed. The build quality is excellent and even the packaging was first rate. Being an IPS panel, it offers wide viewing angles and a sharp picture. That’s something you want if you’re going to use this to share it as a presentation monitor (it also has an anti-glare coating). 1920 x 1080 is a good resolution to work with on a 13” screen. The size and weight make it very convenient to carry around with a laptop or include in a backpack.I’ve been using in two ways. Primarily as a second display with my laptop. It makes for a better workflow when I’m able to put reference material on a second monitor while I write on another. However, I also found it very handy when configuring a Raspberry Pi. Sometimes you quickly need to throw on a display and it is super easy with the Kogoda. The magnetically attached protective cover that doubles as a stand works very well.Plus to top it off, Kogoda put a full set of inputs and outputs on it. Even a 3.5mm audio jack – nice. The adjustment wheel on the right edge was easy to use. There’s an array of the typical settings you can adjust (color, brightness, volume, etc.).Just for fun I connected the screen to a TiVO mini I have to see what TV viewing would be like. I had the “standard” settings selected and the picture was very good. Accurate color with a sharp picture. The built in speakers weren’t great, but they did the job. It was easy to control the volume as the adjustment wheel on the side defaults to volume.About the only thing missing is touch capability. But, that probably meant you would have to install drivers in order for that to work.I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a portable display.

Great for productivity on the go!
Exactly what I have been looking for!Highly recommended for my use case which is to have an extra screen on the go when I travel. It is a productivity booster for me.I also set it up at home as my 3rd screen. I can use my iPad stand since it is lightweight and slim.Pros:- Very lightweight- Very slim- Great picture quality- Plug and play- Comes with all necessary cables- Can be powered through your computer via USB C- Can be powered with a Power Bank in case you don't want to deplete your laptop battery when on the go- Easy to change settings. (I frequently adjust brightness.)Cons:- It could be brighter. It works well but it's not as powerful as your laptop. What it does not have but I don't need and hence not a negative for me:- It doesn't have an internal battery*- It doesn't have touch screen**- The sound is not very good -> I use my laptop anyway*I prefer to not have an internal battery since it will deteriorate over time and once it doesn't work anymore you'll still have to haul it around in your screen. I prefer the monitor to be lighter and slimmer and I'll bring a power bank in case I want to safe on my laptop battery.**I never use touchscreen hence not necessary for me. I prefer to pay less for monitor without a touch screen that I wouldn't use anyway. And again it makes it lighter and slimmer.

A MUST for Distance Learning
Thank you, thank you for this product. This warrants my first review as this is the BEST purchase I’ve made in years. This is a MUST for Distance Teaching! Wherever I am working, a laptop just doesn’t provide a screen large enough for Meetings (online), monitoring a “classroom”, having a whiteboard available and whatever information source. Now I have something that works both at home and when I need to go to the school site. It’s bright, clear, light weight and completely portable. Easily moved about a desk- I don’t have to appear in profile in classroom Meets. Set up was plug and play (I am no tech genius) with many types of connective plugs available (I have an older laptop so I use hdmi but there is usb-c. The speaker is loud (but can be easily switched so audio from the laptop.) It seems like it is versatile- being able to connect to phone and other units (I haven't tried this yet. Easily fits with my laptop in my backpack. Really slim with a protective cover that functions as a stand. And add the bonus protective bag (address below) and 1 year free replacement. The price was the extremely reasonable. I’ve been using this for a week. I am so happy with this unit!
