Should i use this product on a new tank with live sand and carib sea life rock?

Yes, this product jumpstarts the system bio-load. With the live sand and the rock your system should be cycled in under a weeks time you'll need a source of ammonia as well.

This is only the bacteria. Amazon does sell a kit with ammonia and bacteria for 18/19 bucks.
