My son absolutely loved this series. He started reading them when he was 9 through to age 13. Now he’s almost 18 they still sit pride of place on his top shelf along with his other favourites.

I really can't understand why every one is so upset with the fact that the main character is lesbian. This is part of nature. Since Animals exist on this world (humans are animals btw) there are a number of indiviuals that are gay/lesbian... and that is normal! So why on earth do some people live in the past and can't accept that?! What is wrong with teaching your children that it is not always boys with girls? They don't get gay or lesbian by knowing that this in normal in nature. Just get out of your bubble and start arriving in the 21th century! So after this is out: i think this is a great book and i want to read more ;)
