Perfect
These worked extremely perfectly for keeping down a tarp and some lawn and garden items. Extremely easy to use, thin enough to puncture the ground with ease but very sturdy. Not one bent while putting in the ground. Would buy again!

Work great for garden hose
Worked perfectly to tie down my garden hose along the side of my house.

Perfect!
I used these to secure a tarp to the ground to place an Intex brand pool on top of it. The tarp stays perfectly in place with these puppies! Even with the high 79 mph winds that we've had with storms this past month, they have not budged from the ground once. Would be best to tap with a rubber mallet into the ground, but I was able to just step them into the ground with ease with my tennis shoe, so very easy to place into the ground (your ground surface allowing). One of them did bend a bit as they aren't thick, but that was a user error on my part since a rock was under ground where I placed it. It was easy enough to just pull it up, straighten it back out and re-insert into another place. Overall, happy with this purchase, especially with how inexpensive these were. Will purchase again if needed!

Work as they should...
Haven't had them long enough to see if they rust, like a few other reviews have said. They are nice and long, which it what I wanted. They are hefty enough to stay where they are put and not pull from the ground. Have also used them to pin bird netting into my straw bale garden and they did well there.

Using these to get the drip irrigation lines to lie down.
I want to 'pretty up' my daughters drip irrigation in her garden as the last owner just left all the lines sticking up. This should take care of the problem.

A Little Pricey but Worth It
I am a beginning gardener and am learning a lot by trial and error. I put down drip hoses in my flower beds and was cutting and bending wire hangers to make hold down stakes. Didn't have any old ones so had to buy new ones to make the stakes. Unfortunately wire hangers aren't made like they used to be and bend easily. When your soil is mostly clay it was challenging getting them in the ground while holding down the recently coiled hose and getting it all in the position you want. These little babies from Orbit were SO MUCH EASIER. They may be a little pricey but they definately do the job quickly and easily, thin enough to insert into the ground easily but strong enough to use your foot to get them all the way in, and long enough to keep the hose in place, especially if it is new and recently coiled (not wanting to lay flat). They also are not as noticeable once in the ground. I am buying more to use as stakes for my Christmas Lawn ornaments this year. No more pinching my fingers with wire cutters and bent hangers!

a multi-use, reliable stake
It feels a little odd to love a garden stake but here we are. I've been using standard garden/landscape staples for years -- you know, the ones that are sort of squared off across the top. They're ok, but they bend easily and rust if you so much as look at them while thinking about watering. These Orbit stakes are meant for holding down irrigation hoses, but I've started using them in place of regular staples -- they seem a bit stronger (harder to bend) and slower to crust over with rust. They have even proven strong enough to tether cords to the ground for training young tree limbs to grow in a preferred direction. Plus, oddly, these are cheaper than the regular pins sold at nurseries and big box stores. Definitely my new garden "staple."

Unbelievable price for an unbelievable product! I pay 10 times more for these (at least) in garden centers and hardware stores! They are long and very thick-I love them! These ones easily hold hardware cloth on the ground (to foil mice from digging under my old homes foundation), and I cannot wait to try them with my overly tall metal pole bean cages-the ones I bought through a seed catalouge ,which cost a fortune, are skinny and not tall enough to stabilize those cages on windy days. This solves the problem! THANK YOU!!

Very sturdy, you can hammer it through lawn, edging, and it does not bend

These are a great value for the money. Mine are pretty new so I can’t speak to deterioration rust etc but I will update my review if and when they do. Right now the are used in my garden holding welded wire in place to protect my fruit fruits from rabbits. So far they are working great.

I used these for my Christmas reindeers on my lawn and was very happy. It has stood up to a couple wind storms and my decor hasn't moved an inch! Awesome product!
