This is a really nice canvas bag. There's a zipper on both sides so you can blow it wide open if you want or if you prefer getting in from one side or the other. It seams to have some waterproofing going on, but only enough to keep mist from soaking through. Any real rain would still be terrible. I'm 6ft 6in and 365lbs and still have room to toss in with blankets. It'll be colder than most sleeping beds and It'll be heavier than many of them. But I find a canvas bag more comfortable to sleep in as it doesn't clump up or restrict movement the way a nylon or nylon based material bag will. And it's big enough that if you really want to go out when it's really cold, you can always sleep in layers or with more blankets. Making these canvas bags a better fit for your sleep temperature. I personally like being a bit cool when I sleep and don't have the versatility in weather in a nylon bag as I do in canvas as the bulk of them are "rated for 30°-40°F" or colder as there's a lot of bulk in built-in insulation part of a nylon bag. This really is a better alternative.

ive used my canvas sleeping bag as s bedroll for over 6 years. finally blew out bottom so decided to keep it but flip it inside out and use inside a canvas bedroll. i make my bed by zipping up and its my couch til i go to sleep. i was looking at many others but mainly got this because of good reviews and fast shipping times. it seems pretty durable and has softened up considerably. it has added probably 10 or 15 degrees to comfort zone. main gripe is for price should be more waxed and not wax like. it definitely was trested but not waxxy when got it and month or 2 later its more like plain canvas. i wear oilskin bibs and field coat everyday in winter so am very familiar with oilskin. overall it would be a 5 star but for price it should have hd brass zippers and much more wax. ill prob reproof it in summer and do double coat on bottom. just sucks to do on something for so much $$$.

This bedroll arrived packaged so beautifully! The bedroll itself is amazing quality, heavily waxed with beeswax. The olive color is gorgeous. I was so impressed with the quality I ordered a second one! Highly recommend this seller and this product.

Very impressed with how this is put together. At the price point, I was expecting (hoping) it would be. Plenty of room to fill in with blankets for cold nights.
