Has significantly removed a lot of deposits from the shower water as I can tell by the frequency of glass door cleaning required. More importantly I now feel actually clean after my shower and my hair seems to have its old texture and bounce back! I would highly recommend this for people with lots of mineral deposits in their residential water supply as it certainly helps minimize the problem in the shower area. We will have to see how long the filter lasts.

This filter is amazing. I'm sorry the person below did not get the exact results they were looking for, but the truth is they should have commented on how the filter works. It filters water. It's not a moisturizer or an anti-depressant. It won't fix whatever other problems you might have. But filter water? Yes, it sure does that. I had no difficulty with installation (took all of 30 seconds) and my shower went from giving me white sulfuric acid to giving me Brita-quality water. For the price, I would still give it five stars if it only worked for two weeks. However, it's been a month and it still works great.

Felt improvement on skin in 1-2 weeks. Very good. Would recommend if you have dry skin which feels itchy after shower. You will get rid of these symptoms after using this shower head. It is a bit pricy so hopefully they will reduce the price of filters in the future.

Short version:Easy to install, does not leak, and does exactly what it says it will do. Chlorine smell gone, skin not super dry and "coated" feeling after showers anymore. Would buy again.Long version:I was tired of high chlorine levels in our city water and the irritation it caused my skin. My wife couldn't smell or feel it so she didn't sympathize. Fortunately this is inexpensive enough she didn't complain that I bought it. When I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised to see teflon tape included - this saved me a trip to the basement to dig mine up. Installation was a snap - take off the shower head (this also gave a good opportunity to soak the shower head in some CLR to clean the nozzles out) and while it was soaking, put the filter on.I think I understand why some people say theirs leaks. The stem that fastens onto the shower spout is also the pivot point for the filter unit. If you don't tighten the screw onto the main shower spout tight enough, this pivot point is not tightened enough and leaks. It happened to me, and another 3/4 turn onto the spout and the leak was gone. This might be tough to visualize if you don't yet own this, but it should make sense if you make the purchase and have a similar issue.I would not hesitate to buy this again. It does the job well - so well that even my wife could tell a difference in how the water smells and feels.
