Repel Windproof Travel Umbrella with Teflon Coating (Army Green)

My umbrella arrived very quickly and is everything I hoped & expected it to be. The opening & closing mechanics are dynamic and so far, flawless. I've read some comments about how hard it is to close this device, but in my experience, and by first pushing the return button on the handle, it's quite easy for me to collapse. Otherwise, the rubber handle does its job admirably with its dimpled non-slip grip. Fortunately or unfortunately, as of this writing, I've not used this thing so I don't know how it performs in wind-driven rain; But the canopy is certainly large enough to do its job evenly. There are 9 panels & ribs which form a pretty good radius so you're evenly protected. I really like the green color. Hopefully, the color will keep others from confusing this baby for theirs. Umbrella comes with a sock which is suprisingly easy to put back on.

I used this twice. The first time it opened and closed perfectly. The second time it opened and would not close. I did like the color, size, and substantial feel of it, though. Too late to return it at this point.

I ordered 2 umbrellas and tested out 1 of them during a couple of stormy days in NYC. The umbrella is very sturdy and repels water well. The one touch button is easy to use.My only complaint is it is very hard to close all the way. I am not weak by any means and it takes quite bit of an effort to pull the umbrella to a full close, anything short it will just pop back out. I've decided to just press it against a floor every time as the most effective way of closing it.I emailed the Repel team and their service is five stars! They've indicated the one I've been using could be defective and offered a hassle free solution.Overall I am happy with the umbrella.

This is by far THE best umbrella I have ever owned. It folds up nicely and super small to fit in my man-bag or even bigger pockets of coats and such. I enjoy the easy open as well as CLOSE function! So convenient if you enter a building with your tech in one hand and the umbrella in the other. No need for a second hand to close this thing. Simply press the button on the handle / grip and snap it self closes like magic. I will have to say it is really just made for one person but then again it can only be small to fold away or larger to fit two people but not be as conveniently storable.. I am super happy with this product. Very solid build and extremely easy to handle!

I find it extremely ironic that this umbrella advertises how “wind proof” it is. I can confidently say it is the least wind resistant umbrella I have ever used. It constantly pops inside out whenever the wind blows (5mph+). Every time I use this umbrella I get soaked, look ridiculous trying to fix it and regret buying it.

I have purchased a number of umbrellas over the years, recently for around $15. They have fallen apart in no time. This umbrella is amazing, a solid, brilliantly-designed creation that has made me pine for rainy weather. It opens up with the push of a button, but what is delightfully unique is its closing: it doesn't require wrestling it back into its slimmer state. You push the button again and it closes of its own accord with a satisfactory I've-got-this bang! You are going to love this thing.

I purchased this umbrella after my old totes brand snapped during a heavy storm. I wanted something compact, durable, and light. This works wonderfully! The material is very tough and dries immediately. Easy open/close for those of us on the go. I would highly recommend to a friend!

I had been searching for an umbrella that would be able to withstand the wind, so I was excited when I read the description and reviews for this umbrella saying it withstood winds of over 40mph.The one touch open and close button is really useful and a nice feature. However the first time I used the umbrella, it flipped inside out due to the wind. I checked the weather forecast that night and saw that the wind for that day had only been around 15mph - much less than the 40-55mph other reviewers had mentioned. I messaged the seller about this and they responded that the umbrella has a fail safe to flip up in extreme cases to prevent the umbrella from breaking. Fair enough, as the umbrella didn't break. However I didn't realize that 15mph counted as an extreme case.
