The Great Caruso

This movie is bit corny and predictable, but that is overcome by the incredible voice of Mario Lanza.

Very happy to find the new version of The Great Caruso was in Blu-Ray. Love the movie and the singer. Quality of the Blu-ray made it all just better to view the movie. Love Lanza

I have been waiting, ever since I bought the laser disc, for this wonderfulmovie to be restored, but the color has always been a problem.The DVD was a slight improvement over the Laser Disc, but this Blu-ray releaseis finally the answer. There are a full range of colors from reds to yellowsand purples and oranges and blues. The previous releases always looked flat and dull.Bravo to Warner Home Video!

This DVD reflects some of the true events of Caruso's life.

I have received it today and am enthusiastic about the quality of the images. It was about time this movie was issued in blue ray format. I hope they will issue in blue ray all the other Mario Lanza’s movies!

I received this DVD on March 23rd and did not have occasion to play it until today, May 9th. I unwrapped the DVD and put it into our DVD player and the video was great but there was no sound. I tried another DVD and the sound was just fine. I find that I have paid $23+ for a musical DVD that I cannot listen to. I attempted to contact Amazon to ask if I could have it replaced but was unable to converse with anyone about this problem. BEWARE: THIS MAY HAPPEN TO YOU!

It was exact what I had expected and I knew the movie from the date it was first released in the theaters, and I rememberd it well, the voice of Mario Lanza was beautiful.

Very enjoyable performances by all. Especially by the iconic Mario Lanza.

great quality picture better than DVD of this classic film that inspired many other great singers to want to be come a singer including Jose Carras of the 'Three Tenors' It not always a completely true story of Caruso's life the film was 'suggested' by Dorothy Benjamin Caruso's biography of her husband. However the music is brilliant and Mario Lanza is at his peak singing in the role of Caruso who was Lanza's idol.

The best quality from Lanza’s film,hopfuly that they release all His films on Blu-ray.

The sound quality and picture are absolutely horrendous. It looks and sounds like it's been filmed on a cheap phone camera or somthing.

I am very grateful to finally acquire it, thank you.
