Good capacity battery.
Brought new life into my old garmin gps, which has already outlived the newer one I purchased less than two years ago. Fixing up an old gps not only seems to get you better quality than a new one, but its greener than buying the cheap new stuff. And while I had my GPS cracked open, I cleaned out the speaker that had attracted some metalic dust. Sounds like new again and with the new battery, I don't need to keep it plugged in all the time. Nice.

Battery tested. Adequate performance on 50LMT. Easy install. INSTALL TIPS.
Arrived with full charge (based on later GPS readout). 1100mAh is twice the capacity of the original OEM. Price is much lower than OEM. Decided to test performance.Topped off the charge for 30 minutes. On battery power only, screen bright, satellites connected most of the time, I got the following performance from a full charge. At 10 minutes BLI (battery life indicator on GPS screen) turned YELLOW and showed about 1/4 charge remaining. At 20 minutes dialog box warned of LOW BATTERY (BLI still yellow at about 1/4 remaining). At 23 minutes BLI turned RED and showed about 1/8 charge remaining. At 30 minutes I stopped the test with the same BLI readingThis performance is adequate for my needs. Longevity to be determined.INSTALLATION TIPS- The battery was easy to install on my Garmin 50LMT (how-to videos are available online). Required a T4 bit to remove four Torx screws on back cover (used a Wiha Sys 4 Torx Micro Bit T4 x 28mm available on Amazon for a couple bucks). Used a strong homemade plastic spudger to release the tabs by prying the sides of the back cover INWARD while prying the sides of main upper case OUTWARD. Once the back cover was freed of the main case the two halves were spread far enough to access the old battery. No need to remove LCD ribbon cable, etc. I used a small hemostat clamp to rock the battery plug loose (note orientation of wiring). I SLOWLY pried out the old battery to avoid damaging the adhesive layer which I re-used on the new battery. Pressed the new battery in place to make good adhesive contact. Inserted battery plug in proper orientation (probably only goes together one way, but if necessary just match the rails on the plug to grooves on the circuit board plug receptacle). Snap back cover onto main case. Install Torx screws. 10 minutes total installation time.

Replaces My Old Gatmin NUVI 50 Battery Perfectly
I replaced my old Garmin battery with this one from Amazon. Fits perfectly. Note: replacing the battery on the Garmin is delicate surgery and not for the faint hearted. I did it because of my extensive background in repairing electronics.
