Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach
"Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach" by Stuart Russell and Peter Norvig is an extensive and comprehensive guide that delves into the fundamental concepts, theories, and applications of artificial intelligence (AI).The book covers a wide range of AI topics, including intelligent agents, problem-solving and search algorithms, knowledge representation and reasoning, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics. The authors adopt a structured approach that allows readers to gradually build their understanding, starting from basic concepts and progressing to more advanced techniques. One of the book's notable strengths is its clarity and accessibility. Despite being a scholarly work, the authors manage to explain complex ideas in a straightforward manner, making it accessible to readers with varying levels of technical expertise. The writing style is engaging, and the use of examples and illustrations helps to enhance understanding and reinforce key concepts.Another commendable aspect of "Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach" is the authors' emphasis on the integration of AI with other disciplines. They highlight the interdisciplinary nature of AI and how it intersects with fields such as cognitive science, philosophy, psychology, and linguistics. This holistic approach not only deepens the readers' understanding of AI but also encourages them to explore the broader implications and ethical considerations associated with the field. The book also excels in its coverage of both classical AI approaches and contemporary advancements. While it provides a solid foundation in traditional AI methods, such as rule-based systems and symbolic reasoning, it also delves into cutting-edge techniques like neural networks and deep learning. This balanced approach ensures that readers gain a comprehensive understanding of the field's historical context and its current state. However, due to its breadth of coverage, some readers may find certain sections to be dense or overwhelming. The book covers a vast array of AI topics, and while it provides a solid introduction to each, it may not go into extensive detail. Consequently, readers seeking a more specialized or in-depth exploration of specific AI subfields may need to consult additional resources.Overall, "Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach" is an invaluable resource for students, researchers, and professionals seeking a comprehensive introduction to the field of AI. Its accessible writing style, broad coverage of topics, and integration of interdisciplinary perspectives make it an essential reference. Although it may not delve deeply into every subfield, it provides an excellent foundation for further exploration and serves as an authoritative guide to understanding the principles and applications of artificial intelligence.

Awesome [Physical] Book
This is a great work on the topic of AI. My only regret is that it’s a physical book. I looked high and low for a digital version, but could not find one for the US market (ePubs are available for the UK, but they won’t sell them in other markets). I’d really much rather carry this with my on my Kobo.

The textbook on artificial intelligence
I was a little disappointed with this book - too much "philosophy" and not enough "Implementation." Otherwise excellent! For those of you that have $2300, I highly recommend the MIT XPRO course online called "AI in Healthcare" - my area of interest. I had to revive my Python coding skills and it is deep into calculus, but I learned more from the course then I did from this book (I have no financial relationship with MIT). It could be that in the course I had a mentor and we had tests, so I was forced to work. However, this is THE book on artificial intelligence and I recommend it.

Great book!
AIMA is a great book which gives its readers an introductory overview of AI. I have been enjoying the book so far and I would recommend it to people who want to sit back and understand/go through the basics of the field.

Much cheaper than the US version but has the exact same content
The bible of AI books. It's paperback, but still very well bound. For some books, you just need a physical copy. This is one of those.
