Can it or will it forge weld?

Yes this can forge weld. We recommend covering up one end of the forge with a firebrick to reach those temperatures.

How do you regulate the air on the burners?

The two collars you see in the middle of the burners are the air flow regulators.

How far apart are the burners spaced?

They are no longer 8 1/8 They are 5 in now

I'm wanting to get longer gas lines for this forge, but I can only find 3/8" hose, not 5/16". What are people using to extend tank distance?

If I was doing it, I would use adapters so the 3/8 hose was the long run. The smaller hose will reduce flow over a longer distance. When the propane starts to chill the pressure will drop and you will need all the flow you can get.
