Q: Does this have a brushless motor? In other words, does it sound like a prop plane?

It doesn't make a whirring sound, but it does put off a little noise. For perspective, it is enough to mask a normal Baltimore City street on a normal Baltimore City night, but it's not going to drown out crying infants or firetrucks. I love this fan though, it's mighty for it's 'lil size.

There is no toggle on this fan. The sides are bolted to the stand. As for the fan speed; there’s a knob in the back where the blade is fastened to.
