It's small, yes, what I like to call a casual smoker's pipe.But I see it as a novelty item, as I don't think it's actual briar wood. I own a Dr. Grabow "Duke" briar wood pipe roughly the same size and the weight and sound when tapping on it are off, it seems more like a type of resin composite.I have smoked from it and it's quite good but I must suggest the first 6 to 7 smokes only do a 1/25 bowl and the 7 to 10 smokes do a 1/2 a bowl, if you plan on frequent smoking get a Dr, Grabow same price for durability.

Was surprised at how small the pipe actually is. Yes, it is a churchwarden style, but on a smaller scale. Overall length is close to a normal pipe, while bowl size is closer to a mini pipe.Still, nice pipe for a quick break.

Have to admit it was better than I expected. The filter is one of those metal filters you can order or buy, but totally reusable and they really are easy to clean. There is no o ring on this pipe but the mouthpiece fits tightly into the bowl for some length and seems like it would last a long time this way. It was a little hard to remove the first time I had to twist and pull a little hard to get it to come apart, but after that it wasn't bad at all. Mine doesn't leak any air which is good. The heat resistance is very good as can be expected with a good walled Briar wood pipe. I was really amazed at how easy it s to blow the tar back out of the little metal filter tube and pull it out and clean it. It works really well as a filter also. This was my first experience using a metal filter and I was a little impressed with it. Those metal screens are reusable too I've been cleaning and using the same one for a week now with no issues.

The pipe was late on delivery, the case is much smaller than advertised and it’s smaller than other pipes like it the quality was decent however it was missing the pouch that it’s supposed to come with the finish was nice but already rubbed off of the base when heated over all just was a bad experience I even order a Scottie pipe with two days it was delivered a whole day before this one so save your money would recommend

I've had to return this item because the pipe had a crack on the outside but I have re-ordered a replacement because it is great value for the cost, has a lot of good starter tools, comes with a decent box, and most importantly smokes really well.

Great pipe and lots of accessories for the price. Enjoy a pipe and the smell, takes me back to the days when my great uncle smoked them

I love buying these. I have bought 4 of them so far. Super giftable for even a novelty item on a shelf or for the avid smoker.

Bought this for myself as a newbie pipe smoker and the pipe itself is very nice and the accessories seem to be fine with the exception of the case. It is a fairly cheap case to begin with but when it arrived it was badly damaged. Metal framing around the edges was bent up and the case doesn't close properly. It's a good thing this wasn't a gift for someone as I would have been ashamed to give this to someone.
