Q: Is 'amazon basics shredder sharpening & lubricant sheets' compatible with this shredder?

Fellowes recommend you use there lubricant, I purchased a bottle and use it everytime I empty the bin

Mine seems to work fine. I hope it stays that way. If you are experiencing broblems with yours, please contact Amazon customer services if you bought it from Amazon and they will try and help you resolve your issue. Have you made sure you oil the moving parts regularly. For a shredder to have longevity and work efficiently, you need to sqirt shredder oil into the sredding slot at least on every bin full of shredding. You should also only use the shredder for a certain length of time because the metal parts inside rub together causing friction which makes the metal hot. If it gets too hot it could weld together. This is another reason for making sure you oil it regularly. Amazon sells Fellows shredder oil in 2 sizes 355ml at £8.08 and 120ml at £3.75. Both suitable for micro cut and cross cut shredders. Just tried it but you have to cut the loo roll so that it’s half thickness to shred
