Great basic information for beginners!!
I love this book!! It has great basic information like how to begin and how to end with pictures! It also shows basic stitches, so important for beginners! You won’t be sorry. Patterns are easy to follow and are beautiful.

Exactly what you would expect!
The media could not be loaded. This book is exactly what it says it is with colored photos so you can easily see what the pattern is and what it should look like. Tons of patterns as well and even patterns for the picture on the front cover are in this book! EXCELLENT!

UK Terms and no row numbers on charts. Nice Designs but harder than it needs to be.
This book is in UK terms. I deducted 1 star because I am in the US and I think it should clearly have stated that in the description. The book contains charts but there are no row numbers depicted on the chart. Some of the written directions are a bit confusing so I like to use charts and that subtle gap made it more difficult to read. In the picture below, I used worsted weight yarn with a 4 mm hook. I am pretty sure all of the squares are going to come out this big but there are some unique designs in the book so I am going to keep it and try to work through. Just need to keep reminding myself that I have to do the UK > US conversion in my head on every row. Do I regret buying. Yup.

What a delightful book
I have been eyeing this book for months. I finally decided to get it last week, and am turning through the pages now. Wow, what a delightful book! It’s so detailed, with different patterns being paired with others as ideas on who to match them. They’re also all so colorful, and given “experience” levels, although all look fairly doable. If you’re like me and still on the fence, I really recommend! I can’t wait to let my creativity sore using this book

Singles and doubles and grannies…OH MY!
FUN….not for the faint of heart. But def and adventurous fun. Me begging an “advanced” beginner when i got the book. This book def challenged me. BUT i dove in the deep end HEAD first to learn written AND symbol patterns. Sink or swim… do or die! The best advice i have… def get the book. Leeeearn from it (because you will. And anything you can learn from is money and time well spent)… have patience and grace with yourself…. (KNOW WHEN TO WALK AWAY! If crochet has you so frustrated you want to throw your yarn 🙋🏻♀️… you def need a break. I’ve def learned a lot about coming back to my center and reharnessing my patience, 9/10 ties by the time i come back it’s clear as day and i see what I’m doing wrong. And uuuusually it’s ME standing in my own way). This is one of my more treasured, played with books. I went through sticky tabs and picked all the ones i wanted to do first (which was almost all of them 😂) then i would nightly while watch tv just grab some colors, pick a pattern and run with it… always be adventurous, always push your own boundaries most of all aaaaaalways have fun

Easy to follow!
Super easy to follow directions, has pictures right there and each and every pattern has a level of difficulty marked right above the written pattern!
