I have been using carabiners for years (camping, hiking, emergency preparedness, etc...) and in need of stronger, lighter, and heavier load carrying carabiners for a while. I had went to local sporting stores and geez .. they are pricey.I run across this product by chance and couldn't be happier (with one exception). I wish that the carabiners screw on a little more than 4mm.Don't take it the wrong way. 4mm is plenty for many use and I just feel more secure the further it screw on. Even with only 4mm of screw, the carabiner is rated for 12kn = 2697 lbs of force which is way more than what many people will use it for. That's a lot of force and it is meant for people climbing* or repelling* . (*Use at your own risk and do research before taking my word for it)For me, I am very happy that I can use this carabiners for my various uses. Lightweight, strong, and could be use for many survival situations as well

I’m a firefighter and purchased these for just general purpose use. They’re smaller than what I use for my bail out kit but they’re perfect for whatever I need. There were 3 to the pack and I like the variety of color options, it makes it easy to tell mine apart from others at the station. These little guys are sturdy enough (and rated for enough weight) that if I needed to use them for self rescue at a residential fire I could.

Love the product and I will use it in more than the ways suggested, but nothing where my safety will be compromised. The women doing the video seems to be repeating the numbers from the specification sheet and describing aircraft materials she has little knowledge. What is the test data for this product? Will it catch me if I slip during a climb after dropping 25 feet? This woman seemed to have no climbing experience and her description has little credible value, but this carabiner does come in a variety of colors.

I really like the fact that these are locking carabiners. This will be good for hanging my water bottles from my pack, or hiking items from tree limbs, etc... Just when you need a carabiner for those everyday items. I would NOT hang extremely heavy items with these nor would I use them for rock climbing or other activities like that. I would not say that they are heavy duty in that capacity. But for hanging items on your pack when hiking, etc..., these work very well.

I used these to leash in my dogs harnesses to the seat brackets in my Jeep when the back seat is out. I like that the carabiner locks down so they can't inadvertently disconnect.
