Dragon Age Vol. 1: The Silent Grove Review: Excellent - Excellent read. I love the Dragon Age universe. All the characters, the time line, the landscape, all of it. It all fits so well in my medeival fantasy. Review: Interesting - It's an interesting intermezzo of what happens between the games. The art isn't too bad either with the characters actually being recogniseable as the ones from the games which is a thing (sadly) rarely to be found when it comes to fandom based graphic novels. EA, when sanctioning the story line, was taking an unprecedented stand by putting Alistair firmly on the throne as player choices could have seen him sacrifice himself at the end of Dragon Age: Origins or being exiled and wandering Thedas as a drunk. I like the fact that there's no mention to his marital status, however, as this is again tied to player choices in the game. The set up of the story is certainly interesting and I'm looking forward to reading the continuations.

Well written
I love this entire series and seeing poor Isabella that broken made me cry. I love Stem as the new Arishok, and that Ali is still badass. And Mae and Thorold!!!! Squeeeeeee

Great for any DA Geek
Filed with lore, reference and good art this comic is a nice second chance for characters that didn't shine bright in the games. the art is clean, on point and simply colored but accurate to the game. Alistair has really grown in this book, from being the whiney and reluctant grey warden, to an impressive and responsible king. It's always nice to see character development.

Cut on last page
There is a cut on the last page, even though the book is supposed to be new

Amazing Addition to an already superb story
A must have for any die hard Dragon Age fan. I would recommend this to anyone that loves the series, and the same goes for the rest of the volumes!

Good read
Great story and right in the same vein as the games. Alistair is an awesome character and this was a good starting point for the series. The art isn't great, but it's fun to see these characters again.

BEST TRIO EVER!!!
I love Varric and Isabela from DA2 more than I think I liked Hawke. And Alistair is always my favorite romance choice in the first game. So when I saw they came out with a comic featuring all three, I made sure I snapped it up. I was not disappointed. The story is told from Alistair's point of view as he searches for his missing father, the famous King Maric the Savior. Becoming the king of Fereldan seems to have sobered him up from his more jocular self, leaving all the funny to the dwarf and the pirate. That's perfect for me, though; they're more than enough. All in all, the only thing on my mind after I finished this was: "Good Lord I need the second one!"

I fan sfegatati della serie di Dragon Age non possono lasciarsi fuggire questa miniserie che aggiunge informazioni fondamentali all'universo, già di per sè vasto, della saga targata BioWare. Edizione ben rilegata, disegnata e colorata magnificamente.

As a rabid fan of all things Dragon Age, I knew I needed to own the graphic novels, but didn't want physical copies, as they can easily be ruined. This version is perfect for people who, like me, tend to be messy and clumsy, or misplace things. The art is magnificent, and the story is satisfying and wonderful.

This is a perfect start to the Dark Horse series of Dragon Age Comics. Written by the lead writer of the Dragon Age games and novels with some truly amazing art by Chad Hardin it really captures the feel of the world of Thedas and the voices of the characters. It's so good that I can imagine the dialogue being spoken by the respective voice actors from the games. The story is the first in a trilogy that brings together characters from both of the currently released Dragon Age games. It follows King Alistair of Ferelden on a quest to uncover the fate of King Maric and is a story really worth reading as it full of great intrigue, action and humor. It also has allowed Bioware to expand the Dragon Age setting away from the core games. The involvement of Dark Horse comics is a really strong sign of quality as they have over the last few years done some really good Mass Effect comics and it's a real pleasure to see them do the same with Bioware's other massive franchise.
