Great workbook to introduce to young GT kiddos.
This workbook is great to introduce to GT young students. The workbook is great for children ages 5-7 years old. The book has over 150 pages that are full of a variety of different open-ended activities. This workbook will help nurture your child’s creative and critical thinking skills. This workbook is great for both students and parents. The activities are not something a child would complete by themselves, explanation and guidance are certainly needed to help your little one complete the task. My little one has really enjoyed this workbook. Which happens to remind me of my older child’s favorite educational website called Beestar. My oldest son is a GT student who really enjoys the Gifted and Talented program the website offers. I often get solid GT workbooks for him, which is where I came across this one for my little one. I recommend using both quality workbooks and the website to prepare your GT child.

Keep your intelligent kid engaged in a variety of game activities
If you feel like your elementary school kid is not challenged enough, this book is perfect for ages 5 to 7 years and presents more than 100 activities to keep their brain engaged in a playful manner. I like that the book cover language, math and critical thinking, among other subjects. All parts of the brain are engaged and the child will strengthen their brain in all activities that contribute to effective thinking and learning. After the initial exercises, come the fun activities that are hands-on and, important for parents of girls, include science-type experiments. Not only does your girl learn science can be fun, but she also realizes that science is for girls and not just boys. The experiments are simple, such as pick an object from nature and describe to others to see whether they can identify it. Overall, a great book to get kids from a young age interested in using their brain to think.I received a free copy of the book from the publisher.

Gifted and Talented Educator
I currently teach a 3rd/4th grade Gifted and Talented class at a public GATE Magnet School. My parents often ask me if there is a book I could recommend for their younger child to help develop critical thinking skills. Until now, I never had a response for them. Gifted and Talented Workbook for Kids is filled with engaging activities that help develop critical thinking skills. These vital skills are nurtured through activities that focus on analyzing patterns, looking at the details closely, thinking from multiple perspectives, and how to problem-solve. These activities are structured around building important creative and critical thinking skills for kids.I received a free copy of the book from the publisher.

teacher tested!
I teach second grade and I have loved using this book in the classroom. Often times brain work, challenges, and enrichments are geared towards middle school and often hard to use in elementary. This book is perfect for my age group. The activities and tasks are easy to assign and often take no prep. I love the parent corner that explains what each activity is aiming to teach or encourage in the child. This book is informative, practical, and usable. Highly recommend.I received a free copy of the book from the publisher.

Creative Critical Thinking for Young Kids
I am in love with this book! It includes puzzles, comparisons, cause and effect, easy science experiments, math patterns , analogies and soooo much more! I love that these activities require kids to really think critically and use their whole brain. In this day and age, kids really need to be challenged and mentally stimulated, so I’m thankful for books like this. The activities in the book are also quick exercises that won’t take your child all night long to complete. Just one of these a day would really help your child’s learning and brain development. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. Whether you are a teacher or parent you need to get this book now! You won’t regret it!

Great Resource for Teachers and Parents
As a K-2 gifted teacher, this resource is great for classroom teachers and parents! Even though many children are not identified at ages 5-7, this is a wonderful way to continue to develop talents. I am very excited to use it within my classroom and suggest it to parents. This book has many different types of resources that are great for all children - language arts, reasoning and critical thinking, math, creativity, and science! The pages also include "parent corner" notes to help understand the reasoning behind the activity to better support the children.I was provided with a free copy of the book from the publisher.

Great Resource
I love how this book has a variety of different open ended activities. The pages are colorful and the activities are engaging. The activities are not something a child could do on their own. Explanation and guidance is needed for them to complete the tasks. This is definitely not a skill and drill workbook. The activities will nurture your child's creative and critical thinking which is great for gifted minds.
