100% absolutely sure but if you’re near the weight limit this chair probably won’t last. They use a plastic molding to hold the metal bar in place and that broke in the 1st month of ownership. That and you will need an ottoman as the front bar digs into the underside of your thighs. If you decide to buy this chair do yourself a favor and buy the warranty too

Would this chair absolutely engulf a 115 lb. young lady, or is the size appropriate for her?

So it is pretty big size wise and if you weigh 115 you will have a Lotta room but I bought it at size 140 because I like to sit Indian style with my crisscross legs and be comfortable!!

my biggest issue with chairs like these is that the fabric pulls so tight across the front, it feels like there's a bar there. Hows the one?

These chairs are not great. They work and either break the supports when using the lumbar support and/or fabric rips on the arms. Plus the side bars dig into your legs.
