Great sharp knifes. Would buy again

Felt cheap at first (no weight to them) but extremely sharp, durable, and (best of all) dishwasher friendly.

Not pretty.If you hate using dull knives you will love these steak knives. The blade is thin enough to sharpen up well but thick enough to be strong and stiff. The handles will probably last forever even with repeated dishwasher cleanings.I received the Chef's knife version of these knives as a gift 3 years ago. It is the ONLY knife I want to use if I need to cut or dice large fruit or vegetables. I love how sharp this knife can get using a basic electric knife sharpener. Just a few strokes on both sides of the blade and it is good to go.For cutting meat or melon the steak knives are perfect. My wife is afraid to use a Chef's knife so she uses the steak knives for cutting any food.If you often cut yourself with a knife due to a coordination issue then stay away from these knives and pick something dull. For all others these are awesome knives.The Amazon ad says the Country of Origin is China. I'm not sure that is correct but the bottom line is that these knives are great no matter who made them or where they were shipped from!I recommend these additional items along with the steak knives. These seem to work extremely well and are exactly what I was looking for when I spec'd out a replacement set of steak knives. Straight edge with no serrations, comfortable handle, easy to sharpen when needed, and dishwasher safe. They've met all requirements and have handled many dishwasher cycles. Victorinox cooking knives seem to be a continually well priced and performing option.

They are so nice! So sharp! They look so good! I have ordered some for gifts and some for myself! They are so good that you just want to brag about them and give them out lol

I have been looking to replace my current steak knives, they have rust spots I assume from being washed in the dishwasher, but that's one of my "must haves". Truthfully, I haven't had steak knives in the past ten years that did well in the dishwasher even though marked dishwasher safe.I've had these knives about a month and they are doing okay with dishwashing. They have some slight spots on them but not rust spots, and shine up when wipes with a damp cloth and some rubbing. They are sharp enough, but are not gorgeous. If you have other victorinox knives, the handles look and feel the same as their other products. All in all I am satisfied with the purchase as they serve the purpose well, wash okay in the dishwasher and look decent enough, though not elegant.

Been looking for a decent set of steak knives for awhile, I love these. Didn't know Victorinox made this style.
