The Scotch Extremium ultra-strong duct tape is exactly that.The strength of adhesion is superb provided the surface is spotlessly clean and free of dust and grease and moisture.It is possible to tear it, just, much easier is to use a good sharp box-cutter.My first application was to seal a small split in a plastic rain-water tank. The plastic had resisted all attempts to glue it, and welding it was mechanically strong enough, but left a few pinholes.It remains to be seen how long this tape lasts, stuck in place and watertight when exposed to sun and rain.

Used to patch a gazebo curtains.

Needed to buy some clear tape to cover a small bit of broken headlight. I had to wait a few months for the new headlight. Excellent quality and looked ok from a distance so did the job.

I bought a roll of this and used it all up taping plastic sheets around an outbuilding. I was quite impressed and needed more so bought another roll. However, I didn't need to use up all of the second roll so put it in the shed. Later in the year I needed to use a bit more of the tape but unfortunately the sticky had come away from the tape and stuck to the wrong side of it so I can't use any more of the roll. Other reviewers have said the same thing. Not very good for 3M! Bear this in mind if you buy this tape and don't need to use up the whole roll. It has stuck fairly well to the plastic on the outbuilding though.

Yep, this tape is rugged and works as advertised.It can be torn by (strong) hands but better to use a sharp blade.

I bought 3 rolls of "heavy duty, water resistant tape" to patch something. Both descriptions were a lie, and Amazon grudgingly accepted my return of 2.5 rolls. (Not without a whinge, I might add!) Then I found this 3M product at 3 times the price. Was it worth it - an absolute yes!. I used it on a couple of jobs, then realised my summer house roofing felt had split and torn in high winds. I "temporarily" repaired the roof with this product as I was due to be away for 2.5 months of winter, thereby avoiding the job of re felting until the weather improved. Surprised and grateful that the tape was still on and undamaged when I got back in March, with a stormy, wet winter nearly over. Maybe re felting can wait another year!

A) This isn't nearly transparent, it's blatantly obviousB) It may have a waterproof surface but water will get in the sidesC) after a few days in place the tape started to separate from the adhesiveD) after being stored for about a week in my garage which isn't that cold, new sections of tape would not come off without leaving the adhesive behind.I went for Scotch hoping for quality but this is well below par. Should have gone for clear gorilla tape instead.

Very durable, good quality and easily removed and reusable.
