Not Reliable and Faulty
Purchased this to replace my Dyson V8 Animal. It worked fine on the normal, extended run setting but would immediately stop working on max suction. Then after the three months, it stopped holding a charge. Now I’m looking for a higher quality replacement that’s actually reliable. Save your money and buy another battery, this one is terrible.

Fix it yourself
I just love my Dyson. It has lasted me for years and then my battery wouldn't stay charged. So I ordered a replacement. It was so easy to replace and worked so well and so so happy the filter replacements came with it. It's so durable and can feet in small places and under things too. It's so lite weight and with no annoying cord.

Does not take a charge & Vendor does not respond to customer service requests. :(
Worked out of the box, worked after first charge. Not taking a charge anymore. Need to return for warranty, not sure how to do that. Hopefully the seller sees this review and can guide me the right direction to return for a replacement unit.9 days ago I received a customer service ticket inquiry, however I'm yet to get any customer service. Hoping I get the requested assistance so I can update this review to be positive.

Bad battery
Bought this battery in August 2024 and already won’t hold a charge. Terrible purchase.

Does not function properly on Dyson
Worked well for about a month then wouldnt hold a charge, cant use the max suction function, it just shuts off. Very frustrating. I thought I was purchasing a dyson battery… my own fault. Went to Dyson for my new battery. Waste of money

Highly recommend
If you have a slightly older Dyson I highly recommend replacing the battery. We've had ours for 5 years and between our shedding dog and two toddlers, use it ALL the time. The sucking power was clearly fading, so we debated buying a new vacuum, but I'm so glad we just replaced the battery instead!

Don't waste your time or money, you'll be buying again in a few months.
Trash. Holds 3/4 of a charge as the regular Dyson battery and has now completely died in 5 months with very minimal use. Even after charging for 24 hours it still won't hold a charge. It stutters and stops like an engine trying to rev up, and then finally dies. Waste of money.

when is it fully charged
It has 3 blue lights on battery. When left in the charger to reach a full charge it shows 2 full blue lights with the 3rd one blinking. Is this fully charged? Battery didn't come with a manual.
