Great for adding flavor and protein.
Over the years I have bought three or four containers of this bone broth and will continue getting Jarrow brand. I have the Beef flavor but add it to Chicken Noodle Soup, Mushroom Soup, Tomato Soup, etc, or any type of Rice or Noodle package preparation. It does not noticeably change the color of the soups or dishes, but I feel it enhances the flavor and I feel good about having the added protein. When I have a Bone Broth beverage I add a bit of Better Than Bouillon (chicken reduced sodium) to give it the bit of salt it needs for taste. I also add butter to up the fat as it has almost none. I like too that it has some veggies in it.

This is a WHOLE FOOD... with flavour! Don't dis it for NOT being a purified supplement!
This is a CROSS between a supplement and a grocery/pantry item. There are some here trying to compare it to a purified supplement, like Great Lakes collagen powder and in turn, dissing it... WHY???This is a great product! It is for those who wish to ensure that they have bone broth in their diet, regularly, but are like most of us, tired of having to have that slow cooker going all the time!YES it has sodium... who cares!? If you care then you need to do your research. The sodium/blood-pressure issue has been shown to be a myth, many times over. In any case, it does NOT have ADDED salt!Because of certain health issues, I still SUPPLEMENT with collagen/gelatin in addition to this WHOLE FOOD. But I don't dis a product for being a good whole food and not something else!!!

A different taste but one you can get used to especially if added to beefy dishes/
This isn't your momma's beef broth, and on its on is an acquired taste, I made a cup of beef for me and chicken for my husband. He is not an adventurous diner. And being on low carbs for him is really difficult. He hated the broth. Now, me on the other hand, I will drink this broth because I know that it is full of good things for my joints and my health. I will be adding mine as a soup base to future foods. Then he will never know what he is drinking. Yes, I am a sly fox. But, for now, I am sipping my beef bone broth and not complaining at all. For him, he is not drinking his, so I will drink the chicken one also. 6 grams total carbs but still good for me. In case you are wondering about the taste, one (I believe it is the beef) has a spicy pepper taste. The old hubby is going to back to those awful sodium cakes they call bullion. His choice. My choice is to better my health.

GREAT TASTING AND EASY TO USE
This is the best bone broth on the market for ease of use and good value. I use it for cooking all my roasted meats, drink it like a tea, and have good results with it all around.

Taste and carefully screened bovine sourcing make this a winner in the PROTEIN conscious diet.
We were advised to do two things when we purchased this product. One, reconstitute it acc'd to directions, yes, BUT....pour the broth through a tea strainer to catch the grittier pieces which do NOT dissolve. The patient objected mightily to that "grit" Tea Strainer sits right on top of coffee cup...and solved that problem....Secondly, we were advised to add 1 pat of organic butter per cupful of broth. MAN, but did that improve drinkability! WIN WIN...The grams of protein per cupful are impressive, especially for the elderly, or other nutritionally challeged user. ANOTHER WIN!

Worst Tasting Bone Broth
It's truly beyond me that there are so many starred reviews for this bone broth. It tastes terrible, and I've tried quite a few bone broths. If I don't add salt to mask the taste, I wouldn't be able to get it down. You get a ton of powder in the jar, unfortunately. Trust me. Try a different brand.

Tastes Like Bouillon Cubes - Comparing to Great Lakes
If you are not making your own bone broth at home with grass fed all natural beef bones, you have a couple of options for powdered instant mixes. I did some research after receiving and trying the Jarrow Beyond Bone Broth. Jartow's product is not from grass fed beef. They say no hormones and no antibiotics. The ingredients contain natural flavors, medium chain triglycerides from palm oil, tapioca dextrin And various spices typically found in beef soup such as onion powder and garlic powder, carrot and onion. The label explains it has no wheat, no dairy, no gluten, no soybean, no egg, no fish and shellfish, no peanuts or tree nuts. The taste is like that of a bouillon cube, the inexpensive type that his been on the market for decades. You add one heaping scoop to 4–6 ounces of hot water. Each serving has 70 cal and 11 g of protein and 300 g of calcium and 210 mg of sodium. In reading the label I see that they have added a product Jarrosil activated silicon. This is a lab made product which acts like collagen. (Jarrow is primarily a supplement and vitamins company not a food manufacturer.) You can compare and contrast this to something that is more strict for being natural: Great Lakes gelatin collagen Hydrosate pure **unflavored** protein made from kosher beef, which is made with **grass fed** beef. Great Lakes' product comes in a green labeled package and has no flavor so you can add it to coffee, juice, smoothies etc. and have all the health benefits that come with this product without having a taste of beef. The Great Lakes product has 11 g of protein in a 12 g size serving and Jarrow has 11 g of protein in an 18 g size serving, so there is more protein in GL. GL only contains hydrolyzed collagen in. GL only has 43 cal and 12 mg of sodium per serving which is a lot less than Jarrow! Great lakes is gluten-free, no MSG and no GMO. Having used both products going forward I will be using great lakes brand when I am looking for a powder, especially because I make homemade bone broth that taste like beef and vegetables and spices, but the GL is unflavored so I can add it into other things like smoothies and my morning coffee.I rate this 2 stars because it has high sodium in the flavor is not great tasting. I plan to use this to cook foods with such as when adding a beef bone broth to a recipe cooking lentils or paella or risotto but I'm a little worried about the high sodium content when using many cups of bone broth in one recipe. i'm not averse to salt but since we cook from scratch at home we are not used to the high sodium content rypical in processed foods.

The product as delivered on time, but the product was not good at all according to my husband who tried it yesterday - he did not enjoy anything about this product at all. We returned it this morning, so we can get our money back on this product.
