Wayan and the Turtle King

I enjoyed this story very much as taking care of water and the environment is an important theme these days. The illustrations were well done. I would buy this for kids for awareness and for the quality of work.

I got to read an advance copy of this wonderful children's book. This story shares a timely warning about protecting our environment, using age-appropriate language and concepts. There are also additional interactive activities for kids to make this a good book for classroom or homeschool use.

I chose this book as an addition to an environmental-health related children's class. The students were engaged the whole time, they loved the characters and storyline. Afterwards, they were inspired to brainstorm ways to keep their own environment clean. They really took the moral of the story to heart. I cannot wait to use this book in the future, as I think it is an indespensible lesson to be teaching our children.

Set in a small fishing village in Indonesia, Wayan and the Turtle King is a beautifully illustrated educational book about the global problem of plastic in the ocean, the impact that it has, and what we can do help. I simply adored this book, the authors passion for the ocean and desire to educate other flows through every page. At the end of the book there are a number of creative interactive educational activities including a 'plastic diary' to help highlight how much plastic we use each week and an opportunity for children to draw how they as individuals can reduce their use of plastics. Thought provoking. This book will make a difference to the health of our oceans.

This is a fantastic book. Well written, nice storyline, and I especially love the animation. As an English teacher, I intend on using this in my students English classes as it is a brilliant book to get them interested in enviromental protection.
