Best User Friendly Assembly, Instructions, and Final Product!
I don't usually write in depth reviews but I was so pleasantly surprised by this purchase.I knew it would require assembly so I was hesitant about the purchase. However, this might be the best furniture assembly, instruction and finished product I've experienced. From receiving the package, delivered quickly and on time to the actual packaging, was great.I would have been surprised if any parts were damaged in tow because it was extremely well packaged and protected. There were reinforced outer layers on each edge of the box that the product came in.Once I opened the box, which took time to get opened, there were firm styrofoam pieces in every nook and cranny to prevent sliding of pieces. Each piece was labeled either with sticker or written on edge. Either way, the instructions were clear about what to expect for labeling. All pieces were in tact. I could have built ther entire thing alone until the very end where the instructions actually noted you would need an extra hand. However, my husband and I enjoyed working together to complete this project. It took a short amount of time, less than 2 hours (didn't really time it and we worked slowly).I LOVE this finished product. It works perfectly and looks BEAUTIFUL. It's looks exactly as pictured!Best value purchase!

Not easy
Unclear instructions and took forever to put together. The table itself is very nice though.

Made in USA & Great customer service!
I try to buy USA products a much as possible, so I was excited to see this coffee table was made in the USA. It is extremely sturdy, went together in about 45 min and has great fit and finish. What moticated me to write a review is the fact the top had a cosmetic defect and when I called customer service, they answered immediately and said I will have a new top within 3 days!

A quality product at a reasonable price
We bought this to finish off a basement TV room with matching Cannery Bridge side tables and the wall unit (bookcase). Like the other Sauder furniture we've purchased over the years, this item is a good quality product at a reasonable price. It arrived in one box - a rather heavy box, but not so heavy that this old guy couldn't carry it inside. Assembly was quick and easy because Sauder provides clear instructions and all the parts fit together as expected. The finished product is attractive and very functional. The lift-top feature is easy to raise and lower (although it takes two hands) and it's very handy when you're snacking in front of the TV. We're very pleased with the purchase.

Really nice, dont rest your feet on the bottom
It's great, super sturdy, easy to put together, and resistant to spills (coasters not needed). But the screws on the top hinges can get a little loose if you're lifting the top a lot, I would recommend glueing them. After a few months use I've noticed the bottom screws have broken through the bottom plank. I think it's from us resting our feet on it, since it's only happening on the side facing the couch. I'm not going to change my rating since its damage caused by us and really doesnt affect anything but the look.

Some of the reviews are true
**update 5/15/2022After 2 years, the bottom paneling gave out. We've out light books there, like a photo album, and magazines, and board games...and it weighed down the particulate board. The screws broke right through. There's no repairing it unless you work as a carpenter or DIY.The top portion has lasted. Hasn't broken or cracked at all. It still lifts so that we can work in our living room or eat in front of the Tv.But alas...if we can't drill new holes to fix the bottom, we'll have to consider throwing it away.*original postThe table was perfect for my living room. It took about 2 hours to build. So the reviews were definitely correct about that. You do need an extra pair of hands for the last portion (putting the top of the table on). There is a ton of space for storage both in the top and underneath the table. The table top is sturdy when eating. The 2 things I dont like are that when you lift the table top, you need two hands to lift it and both sides of the table dont seem to lift simultaneously. So you could break something easily not paying attention. Another thing is that some people were concerned about the integrity of the bottom of the table. I do notice that if you dont pick up the table at a sturdy point, it can potentially cause some rocking. I would advise pushing, not pulling the table and if you could have someone grab the table with you to move that would be absolutely best.

I love this coffee table!
Very sturdy. Being on a tight budget most of my life, I've just about always bought furniture I've had to build myself. (Usually cheap, thin pressed board from Walmart)I was very impressed with how sturdy this piece is. It's the most complex piece of furniture I've ever had to build, but it was all to make the table more sturdy and hide all screws for a clean finish. The only problem I have is both sides of the lid have to be lifted and lowered simultaneously to keep it leveled. Being a long and heavy lid, it's not so easily lifted without holding onto both ends. I also wish there was a way to access what is inside the table from the side the lid pulls up to. Having yo get up and go to the other side of the table to use the storage makes it useless for items you use regularly. It would be nice if it had drawer access to keep controllers, remotes, coasters or whatever easily accessible from the front.Overall I am very impressed and would love to upgrade some of my cheaper furniture to other furniture pieces from the same line. If I wasn't on such a tight budget I would definitely buy the whole line to match the table.
