There are 5 adjustment levers. What is the purpose of the one that is at the front of the chair? Not the hydraulic lift one, the one in front of it.

It's used to tilt the seat forward. One of the other levers is used to tilt the seat backwards. Theres also one to let the seat slide forward and back and to tilt the backrest.

How comfortable is the seat itself? Does it have a lot of cushioning?

The seat does have a plenty of cushioning.

Can the arms be removed?

Yes. There are two large twist knobs that hold the arms in place (for width adjustment). You can completely unscrew those and remove the arms although I'm not sure why you would want to. The arms are adjustable height and width.

Great Home Office Chair with lots of adjustments

Excellent Chair and worth the extra over some of the lesser chairs. It has many adjustments and it's comfortable to set in for a long day. If you a person who works from home all day, this is a great option that is less that an expensive Aeron Chair from Herman Miller. It's a price performer.

Good but too many moving parts

I've got both this chair and the same one without all the knobs, and I prefer the simpler one. This one has a little bit of wiggle in every direction and at least one adjustable part makes a noise whenever I shift my weight.

super adjustable, great back support for long hours, love the height adjustment on the arms so that when my tweaky nerve impingment flairs, I can find a somewhat comfortable place for my mouse hand... love this chair. Not hard to put together at all - and I'm less than ambitious about this feature of buying on line.
