A Beacon of Light in the Dark (Literally)
Let me tell you about my adventure with the NexiGo PJ20 Outdoor Projector. This projector, my dear readers, is a beacon of hope for all the budget-conscious, cinema-loving, casual gamers out there. It's like a Hollywood studio packed into a box, only without the overpriced popcorn and the annoying person who won't stop texting during the movie.First things first, the NexiGo PJ20 is a beautiful contradiction. On one hand, it's a low-budget projector with a brightness that could only be compared to my motivation to work out on a Monday morning. But, on the other hand, it's like a precious gem in the rough that over-delivers in quality, providing you with a full 1920x1080 resolution, rainbow artifact-free image, and input lag suitable for casual gaming (which in my book is a tremendous win). The setup is as straightforward as a spaghetti western plot. You plug it in, point it at a wall, adjust the focus and voila - you're ready to immerse yourself in a world of cinematic bliss or get destroyed in a gaming match by a 12-year-old from another continent. And don't even get me started on the size. It's larger than your average mini projector, but it's still small enough to move around with ease. It's like a chihuahua that thinks it's a Rottweiler. The sound, oh, the sound! The built-in Dolby sound speaker is like a concert in your living room. It's as if Celine Dion is serenading you with 'My Heart Will Go On', while Jack and Rose promise each other eternity on the screen (I'm not crying, you're crying). In conclusion, the NexiGo PJ20 is a great addition to your home entertainment system. It has its quirks, just like a moody film star, but it will certainly give you a bang for your buck. So, grab some popcorn, dim the lights, and let the magic of cinema unfold in the comfort of your own home with this bad boy. And remember, it's not the brightness of the projector, but the quality of the movie and company that really matters. Unless, of course, you're trying to watch a movie on a sunny afternoon, then you might have a problem.

For the money, you can't go wrong.
If you're on a budget and looking for an affordable home projector that doesn't skimp on quality, the NexiGo PJ20 is definitely worth considering. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of some high-end projectors on the market, it offers solid performance at a reasonable price point. Obviously, there are nicer projectors, with better functionality, higher brightness, and higher resolution, but if you want to have a nice movie night with your loved ones without spending $1000 on a projector then this is a good purchase. I shopped around a lot for something cheaper, and I worked my way from $60 to $300 projectors; and returned most of them. Stay away from the super cheap ones, there is zero customer service, and they won’t last; you’ll end up buying three of them in a year. Better to take that money and get something a better that will provide a better viewing experience, and last longer. I also think spending over $300 isn’t worth it because I don’t feel like the quality goes up much before you get to the $600’s. Plus these projectors often have coupons that can be added to them on the product page. One of the standout features of the PJ20, and NexiGo for that matter, is that they list the brightness in ANSI Lumens, which ensures that its brightness specifications are accurate and reliable. Don’t fall for those 2000L or 3000Lum units. If it doesn’t explicitly state the brightness in ANSI Lumens, do not buy it. They are hiding something. The PJ20 has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a brightness of 450 ANSI lumens, this is more than enough for consumer level buyers. While 4K is nice, but not necessary, I do think you should never go lower than 1080 displays. The built-in speaker is a nice touch, but it's not going to blow you away with its sound quality. I tested it just to test it, but I knew I would be using my surround sound system for the audio. You can also attach a speaker to it via Bluetooth or cable. It's worth noting that some apps, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, do not support screen mirroring due to copyright protections. This is an issue with most projectors, just get chrome cast and you’ll be able to screen from your phone.Overall, the NexiGo PJ20 is a solid choice for anyone looking for an affordable home projector that offers decent performance. While you won’t find this playing a movie in your local AMC, it's a good deal for the money and is sure to satisfy most casual movie-watchers, and families. Also comes with a standard full 1-year warranty that will get extended by an additional year if you register your product with their website. For entry level projectors, this is definitely one of the better ones.

Solid portable projector
As a disclaimer, this is the first projector I've owned myself, but I've handled a fair number of them in the past to give me a baseline of comparison. Setup was extremely easy, and although it was initially a little slow to connect to my MacBook via AirPlay, subsequent connections to my MacBook, iPhone, and even an Android tablet were quick. The ability to connect to almost any device wirelessly with acceptable lag/delay was very impressive for me in this price range. Keystone correction was very easy to adjust and allowed for a decent range of angles and heights. Picture quality is okay on an off-white wall but would probably be better with a real projector screen. Brightness was not the strongest, though the room we used was naturally pretty bright; this improved greatly after sunset and allowed for a pretty impressive viewing experience (as with most projectors except the absolute brightest, but those tend to run much more expensive). Perhaps the most impressive part to me was the sound quality. I don't have the highest expectations for projector audio, but the Dolby Audio capability and volume range allows for a great budget cinematic experience even without a dedicated speaker.Overall, this product is a solid projector for the price range, even moreso if you can find it on sale!
