"KO Version" Transformers Masterpiece MP-14 Red Alert

Pros: tight joints, clean transformation into car mode, and box is devoid of any misprints.Cons: rocket launcher and gun do not exactly fit but are at least functional, misprint on rear of car mode with the make and model names, and I had to file the torso interlocking tab piece and slot so as to achieve a functioning aesthetically pleasing robot mode.I paid $39.99 plus roughly 5 bucks in shipping for an MP w forgivable QC issues mainly bc I wanted to have a complete MP line up and couldn't justify paying the standard $80+ for the official version. Red Alert was a likeable character but I didn't care for him in the manner in which I was willing to pay import prices for the other official MP releases. Hope this review helps future buyers in some way.Final verdict: worth it at $35-$45 but anything over that would be over-paying IMO.

Knowing that this is a KO version I have to say that quality wise it looks good. Its as stiff as the original MP's but of coarse there are alignment issues. I had 3 alignment issues:1. The spoiler is suppose to click together with a dovetail joint. The dovetail itself is a little too wide so you have to file it down a bit to make the joint fit.2. The mid-section lip that bends and holds the figure's mid-section down and secure is too thick. You need to file that down too.3. The notch that the tab in the waist part of MP-14 that needs to go in is too small. I was able to carefully widen the hole by filing the sides of the notch a bit and made it fit.Other than these I'm happy with the figure. At $35, its worth the price and it came 2 weeks ahead of schedule. All the filing took less than 5 minutes but be sure that you do it carefully so you don't over file.

Got this awesome figure from China, To be honest I was a bit scare ordering out of the USA. But package arrive 2-3 weeks before it's time. This figure is identical to it's Taraka Tomy MP's. It has it's only flaws. Remember, it's a KO. So the QC is a hair off here or there. Not much to hinder the toy, Some panels don't line up, but like I said before "KO".The biggest difference is: The price. Where this guy goes for 50 buck compare to the TT which goes for about 80-100 bucks.You are getting the same mold and play ability as if you would of gotten the TT.I highly command getting him.I also have the MP--TT Sideswipe and to have this KO (Red Alert) is awesome

The item is a KO. From "Takasa Tomy". But the paint was terrible. Red paint on white plastic was applied so thinly it appears pink? Plastics are full of sprue marks. Both outward shoulder joints are glued / fused straight. And the arm broke off when I rotated it forward. Terrible KO. Worst one I've bought. And I have over 10. 4 from Takasa Tomy...

Shipped and in my hands in 5 days in south Mississippi USA this is second of many figures I will purchase!! Packaging could not be better, and product is great! Why spend the money buying the more expensive masterpieces? I'm a collector and once I get them they go in a case and are for display! Perfect figure!!

Not bad, the other KO's I've gotten have been better, but since I don't plan on changing this one it'll work.

Good product for the price. I had several issues that I could fix- not an issue for me since I'm not expecting full quality control at this price point.Used a nail file, superglue gel, and an exacto razor knife. Took about 10 minutes plus drying time for the glue to fix everything. Note: glue was used to make things tighter, not permanently mount stuff.issues were:1. floppy/loose rear head cover- glue2. floppy/loose head rotation- glue3. waist clip- waist portion filed to fit, car bumper portion cut slightly because it was too large- be careful not to cut too much- exacto knife, file, glue to thicken since I cut a little too much and it wouldn't stay in place (works great now)4. rocket launcher too loose on shoulder- glue5. the helmet plastic wasn't trimmed properly and was covering part of one of his eyes- exacto knifeAgain, figure isn't perfect, but if you have a large list of wants and need to budget your collection purchases, this figure was a good fit. looks great next to the real Masterpieces, can't tell a difference unless you look VERY closely.

Good figure for being a KO figure. However it does have some flaws which if were fixed would really make the figure great

Red alert is my favorite of the Lamborghini's, I was defiantly not let down by this purchase.

Why pay more?

Nice toy, a little hard to transform, but my boy loves it.

Very fast service, the only problem is for Red Alerts transformation, his head is split into two pieces, and when you snap it together, it doesn't want to hold that well.
