Pricey but worth it
This is my favorite sketch pen. Hold on to the cartridge; you can refill it with bottled ink and one of those needle/syringe things. Rotring and Doodlers ink both work with the nib.

Dropped it from 3 feet and it survived
I am having Extra-fine nib fountain pen for almost two months. I bought it for writing and it was very smooth and sharp. Around the second week of using this pen I dropped it from height of 3 feet and it landed with its tip on solid ground. I panicked that I broke my new pen. However, after pushing the pen tip on paper for couple of seconds it started to function normally again. It has a very high quality tip. Now it writes more like medium nib lettering pen than extra-fine one but I think it is acceptable considering the hit it took. The pen is noticeably light, plastic material does not feel like something super-fancy, but from usage point of view it is very good. I am not a calligrapher or professional drawer, but I think they will find this pen "fine nib" not "extra-nib". All in all, I am really happy with my purchase and I am looking forward to buy more rOtring products.

Quite happy, though the nib could have been finer
It feels nice in hand. I have other general purpose pens, but the shape of this pen is more for the artists (long and tapered). However, the cap does not fit at the back, so you have to hold it in your other hand or keep in somewhere on the desk. Though it's extra-fine, it's more like normal fine (to me). I have other normal fountain pens that are finer. However, I can always roll over and use the other side of the nib and get really fine lines. So overall, it's good because with the same nib I can get really fine, and not so fine lines. I got two cartridges with it, which I usually refill with my favourite black ink using a normal injection (medical) syringe.

Get the right Ink and it's amazing!
Make sure to use Fountain pen ink and this is one of the best art pens out there. It has become one of my top three drawing instruments and for the price, that is amazing. I prefer this over much more expensive options. It is smooth and reliable. I let it sit a month without use and came back to it working perfect with no drying. That is a great performance for a pen like this. This got my through Inktober and I highly recommend it!

Too good to fast
Best artpen i ever used, at first inking was not good, but then it was perfect, maybe was dust. Be warned, line aint thin, i would say its a 0.5 mm, so lines are bold for really small sktechbboks, but solid pen for sketvhing, i bought two of then, took the risk and it was worth it.

Good Value
I bought one with the extra fine nib and it works great! Every bit the equal of my Lamy Joy—a similar pen. I think there’s always a bit of luck involved with buying a fountain pen online since you can’t try the nib. The one I received flows nicely. I loaded it with Platinum Carbon ink just because it had a good, wet flow and it works as well as my Platinum Carbon Desk (fountain) Pen. No problems with clogging even though this is a (finely ground) pigmented ink. The results may be entirely different with a different nib/feed. I don’t post the cap on these style of pens so that fit isn’t an issue for me.

I bought extra fine nib. it comes with two black ink cartridges
it is light weighted, and smooth to write. I bought extra fine nib. it comes with two black ink cartridges. it was impressive first to see how it can move smoothly on the paper. however, soon I found some bad points; it seems the line is getting thicker. (I don't think this is extra fine...it is between med and fine) also, it was hard to find its converter. I had to go to Rotring's website to buy it...and the shipping cost was flat $8.00 Overall, it is worthy of trying.

Love these pens
I've had a love affair with these Rotring ArtPens for years, in particular the extra-fine ones. I do a lot of pen and ink artwork and have a very light touch, so this EF nib is wonderful. The pens are getting harder to find and I'm afraid they may be discontinued, so even though I didn't actually NEED another one, it was hard to pass it up. Seriously recommend for anyone who does pen/ink work, or just likes a fine writing instrument.

This is easily the best fountain pen I have tried so far. A smooth and constant inkflow, and very well balanced barrel make both writing and drawing a joy. The package contains 4 black cartridges, a small leaflet, a refiller cartridge, and the pen itself in a metal case debossed with the rotring logo (which makes a handy pencil case). The only downside I have found so far, is that the nib isn't as fine as you may expect - tested against Rotring fineliners, the line width is somewhere in the range of .25-.3. Despite this, I would recommend the pen without hesitation.
