Great product

this MaceBell is incredible..I bought the 15 lb. thinking pfft 15 lb. whatever I do 15 dumbbells at the gym like butter .. WOW its heavy , really heavy for a start weight . so I got it home from the post office , heavy and immediately ordered a second MaceBell 7 lb. im definitely keeping the 15 lb. so .. excellent machined clean milled steel fabrication . precise edges no burls or roughs solid . I recently dumped my bike and fractured my collar bone , surgery currently in a sling ,so this will be perfect for home physio in the coming weeks . AND there are heaps of on line video instruction , thats what sold me on not 1 but 2 MaceBells I own kettle bells also but max heavy over 35 lb. I highly recommend getting this product as a prime purchase so if you don't think its for you return it free with amazon prime . sadly only certain weights are prime ??? weird .enjoy 5 stars .

I was heavily researching and looking weights and kettlebells and came across the steel mace. If you're looking for something that can provide a whole body workout and be fun this is it. I looked up tons of videos on YouTube that had great steel mace workouts and found that this particularly is great for building shoulder/back strength which is something we ALL need to work on since we're constantly sitting at computers, TV and looking down at our phones.

I was pleased with the quality for the price of this mace. I will be purchasing more of these for my home gym in assorted weights. I would recommend if you are unsure on quality and are looking for an opinion.

Packaging: I'm going to deduct a single star due to the poor packaging. The head clearly was wrapped in Styrofoam when it left Amazon. That would be fine if it shipped on a pallet and was placed on a store shelf by an employee but the manufacturer knows good and well Amazon is going to use UPS for most heavy items....and UPS does not have the time to coddle every heavy package, especially one that is so unevenly weighted. It was clear when the package arrived that both the head and hilt had both ripped through the ends of the box (then UPS retaped) and both ends were pretty scratched up. Nothing functionally wrong but not pretty. For me this is not a big deal but to some people this might be a deal breaker. The factory should have wrapped both the head and hilt in a few layers of cardboard, flush against the surface. This would have protected the finish and should have preventing mace from breaking out of the shipping box. Handle texture: This is not a pro or con but be aware that the texturing on the handle is VERY aggressive. Be prepared to wear gloves or cover with grip tape. I already workout with kettlebells and have some decent calluses but this bothered me. I also thought about a light sanding over the handle but I am going to try grip tape for the time being. Weight choice: I really had a hard time choosing what weight to pick, 10 lbs or 15. I'm 5'9", heavyset, workout 3-4 times per week with 35 lb kettlebells, I'd consider myself pretty strong. The 15 pounder is ALMOST too heavy but I think the 10 pound would be too light after only few weeks, once I mastered technique. Keep that in mind when ordering.
