Great for young kids
The problem with many tanglement puzzles is that they are great for kids 12 and up -- and even adults -- but they are way too complex for younger kids, say 5-9 years old. The thing is, if you want to get kids interested in these things, you need to have at least SOME puzzles that younger kids can manipulate with some reasonable chance of solving themselves. Otherwise, they will get frustrated, and likely not be interested in such things when they are older. There /used to be/ a lot of tanglements appropriate for 5-9 year-olds, but in recent years they seem to have all but disappeared."Harrison's Handcuffs" are part of a "president's" set of puzzles that reverses this trend. These puzzles are large-scaled, making them easier for small fingers to manipulate. And the puzzles are age-appropriate. My 6-year old niece struggled with these for a while, but eventually got them apart by herself. I have rarely seen her so focused on a task (took her about 20 minutes), and she was very proud of herself when she finally solved the puzzle.Kudos to "u?puzzled", who makes these. This is what I've been looking for, for several years.Keep up the good work!
