These things are fantastic for the price. No, they're not sturdy. They're also under $20. My first one has lasted over a year. They work so well I bought a second one for my power adapter. I usually play in bed and it gets so hot it makes me miserable. (I have issues with overheating.) I set it up on a table next to me, and I DARE it to get hot now lmao 😆. I plug that one into a power strip that goes into the wall. They do need an external power source (your laptop or plug into an adapter etc). They will do nothing otherwise. There are separate dials to turn on the fans and the LED lights on this model. They're located on the top, next to the USB ports. The photo only shows one dial, the other is covered by the cord. There's a solid "click" to turn on or off. I got the "metal" one the second time. I doubt it's really metal. At best, it's metallicized paint. Doesn't matter, it's working great. It didn't cost that much. It's quiet, I can barely hear it. Its actually cold to the touch when on. The power adapter used to get so hot I could barely touch it (normal but annoying), now it's barely warm. So much much comfortable to be next to.

Works ok as a laptop stand, not sure about the cooling. My laptop does not have any heating issues irrespective of if I use this cooling pad or not. Doesn't slide as it has a plastic stopper at the bottom to stop laptop from sliding. Bit bigger in size not that portable in a laptop bag but thats OK I don't travel with it.

Works great. Laptop does not slip. Cooling nicely. Only drawback is that the phone holder is weak and flimsy. Pretty much useless.

The fans move a lot of air and help keep my laptop cool. The large fan in the middle started making a lot of noise after a couple weeks, but I figured out how to fix it for my scenario. Step 1: Unplug the USB cable. Step 2: Bend a large paperclip into the shape of a "U" approximately 3/4" tall. Step 3: Loop the paperclip through a couple holes in the center of the unit cover right above the large center fan. Step 4: Give it a couple pulls so it creates space between the large and cover. Result: After attaching the USB cable and turning on the fans, the cooling pad fan noise was almost completely gone. Easy fix!

Great product, laptop runs fast again :o) Laptop - (LG GRAM 14T90Q 14" Intel EVO 12th Gen 16GB LPDDR5 1TB NVMe SSD, FHD, WiFi 6E, Thunderbolt 4) - used on a fuzzy blanket, not the best idea, but still ... became really hot with GPU/CPU intensive applications, and slow. I had a Targus pad from previous laptop, cost twice the price, purchased at the store with the dog and bullseye 🎯, but with only two fans, it didn't circulate the air directly into the Laptop vents. Air didn't line up with Laptop vents so well. This pad has six fans, so air is more spread out over surface of pad, and at so figured at least one of the fans would blow air into the laptop. Sure enough, it did. And, unlike Targus, this variable speed. On the Targus pad, a blade had broken off, so was vibrating due to imbalance. Tried others from 🏷<--- that store, the one with the yellow tag, B.B., with so-so results. That store only has two-week return policy however, had to scramble to return. This pad, (what's in a name?) out-cooled the others from the big-box mall store. Bottom line: Laptop now runs cooler and faster than the previous ones, and can once again put laptop on couch, bed, pillow, and the fuzzies don't stop the air from flowing. Cool 😎!

works great. has been spinning for several months. i use this to keep my cable box cool inside an enclosed entertainment center. very happy with function for the price

Fans are a bit loud, especially for the output, which isn't very strong. They get stuck or something sometimes because they'll start sounding like they're grinding, but after tapping a few times it calms down. I lay it flat, so can't speak to the angle function. The cell phone holder is just plain silly, not sure why they included it, it's too slim and has no vertical support. Colors are fun for a minute but mine have been off most of the time I've had it. Overall it's a decent, cheap way to get some airflow under a laptop that gets really hot during gaming, but it's nothing special.

Laptop fan was going out and making a lot of noise so my laptop was overheating. Got this andno longer having this problem. It's quiet and I like that it fits nicely in my backpack without taking up too much additional room. It's light weight but feels sturdy. No complaints after nearly 1 month of daily use. (10/2/25). I will update if anything changes.

This is fantastic, with the options to have the laptop up to any angle or just on its own flat the USB cord fits perfect and great length too. Very satisfied with this product

Bought for my new laptop with a 17-inch screen, fits perfect. Makes a bit of noise even on lowest once in awhile but only use computer for personal use - no big deal. Highly recommend to keep your laptop cooled. Had an a different one on my old laptop but died, need to keep it from overheating.

Hasta el momento que lo he tenido funcionando, los materiales no serán de muy buena calidad pero se ve que hasta el momento son resistentes, los ventiladores no avientan el chorro de aire como uno pensaría pero para un equipo qué sufre calentamiento sirve, habrá que probarlo en otras condiciones y la controles, tiene 2 ruedas de control independiente para controlar la mitad de los ventiladores cada uno, me hubiera gustado que lo hubieran configurado de diferente manera y las luces no tienen mayor chiste, pero pues en cierta forma de ven cool... buen producto.
