Really impressed with the quality of my latest 6-pack of live edge plaques. All were well proportioned and all were clear of blemishes/discolorations. I am a chip carver and these are attributes that really make the projects so much easier to pattern and chip. Thanks Walnut Hollow!!

Good product but incorrect measurements listed
The pieces look good. Nice and wide. Plenty of space for a design. But the listed measurements say it is 13×11×2.5 inches and I'm not sure where that 2.5 inches is supposed to be because they are about 3/4 of an inch thick. I'm using it for relief carving so that extra thickness was the selling point for me. Other than that, they look great and I'll still find a use for them.

Great looking Piece
I received a very nice piece of Basswood. No knots, imperfections and very straight. I'm satisfied with what was sent. It's always a risk whenever you purchase on site unseen! Roll the dice. I did and scored.

Edit: It's unfair of people to dock this company points for some pieces of wood being smaller than they expected. Wood is a natural product and being such it will vary in width and appearance from plank to plank. If you are buying in bulk, expect differences. If I am ever looking for a specific width, I will typically order 3 or more and usually always find exactly what I need among those that arrive.I have been using Walnut Hollow products for a few years now and will never buy Basswood from anyone else! The wood is always perfectly dry with none of the bark separating, and takes paint REALLY well. I use it specifically for my woodburning art. The price on this wood is right too, everyone should be buying this stuff! I particularly like how there is still a uniqueness to each piece as there should be with wood :) Every now and then I get lucky and get a piece that has curly figuring!
