Forza 2 (Platinum Hits)

Criminally underrated
I don't see anyone talk about this game. It's either FM1, FM4, and a little bit of FM3 when it comes to the 360 era forzas, but I never see any talk of this game. BUT WHY?This game is so much fun. It is a tremendous improvement over the first title with a completely revised PI system and an upgrade system that you can actually use.The career is more or less the same as the first game, with marginal improvements across the board. There are still few PI restrictions and the aforementioned "unfair cars" are still present in some events, such as the mid engined challenge. I guess it does at least encourage use of the system, despite the fact every AI is still using bone stock cars. There's also a good selection of tracks, even though most of the old fantasy tracks were lost, and so was point to point.Exhibition and Time Trial are also fun, but unfortunately there is no selectable difficulty so if you are above the intended skill level, it'll be an easy win every time.On the career alone, you should be able to clock many hours into this game. And while online is pretty much nonexistant as of 2019, there is still fun to be had. This version in particular has the benefit of having all DLC on-disk (via bonus disc) so you can experience many new cars you may never have seen before.

Very Realistic Driving Game at a Great Price
I was a late comer to the XBOX360, buying in Feb 09, and it's also the first console I've owned. I've played many driving games on my PC's over the years, but this is the best by far. Be aware, it's not really an arcade game, but more of a driving simulator. You can't keep the accelerator mashed the whole time and hope for the best, or bounce off walls to make the turns. You have to drive like you would in your own car - well twice as fast, but you get the point - breaking and sensible accelating definitely count. The graphics are great in 720P. Some have found slight fault with the crispness of the graphics compared to other games - unless you're pausing and comparing it side by side with another, newer game, I doubt you'll notice, especially at 200 mph. I've got my XBOX360 on a 52" rear-projection HDTV - not the latest model, but it looks great for games. There are lots of cars, and with the platinum edition, lots of extra tracks. If you don't have this one already and you like driving games, you really can't get a better deal than this. [...]

Not for novice gamers!
The graphics of this game are great, don't get me wrong there. It's the gameplay!Maybe I am too familiar with Need For Speed or Burnout, but this game is almost TOO realistic. My car spins out of control around corners, drifting is nearly impossible, and every single track looks like a Nascar racetrack. I was hoping that I would be able to spin quickly around corners, race through cities, AND customize my car.The only thing I really like about this game is the graphics and the options for upgrading cars. Actual race time is too difficult for long term play.

Fun Fun Fun
Lots more difficult the Forza 3 or 4. No Rewind for mistakes. Harder to get much car money. This may be my favorite. Shout out to Orange County Goodwill for double checking the condition and to make sure the Bonus 2nd disc was there to get all the extra cars. I am out of their State so can't drive over. Lots of other sellers advertise theirs as Platinum Version but don't actually have the second disc....what a rip....Thanks Orange County Goodwill. Discs were perfect condition too

Great Simulator
This is a HIGHLY accurate driving simulator. Not a game. Simulator. This means that it's far too difficult for alot of people to play and enjoy, but if you're a driving enthusiast, you'll love it.It could use a few more cars from the manufacturers that are included, but the list isn't shabby by any means. I would like to see more than one car from the manufacturers that only have one car included. For example, Saab only has the O.G. 9-3 (1997-2002)...Ideally, they would have the new generation 9-3, the 9-5, and maybe even a classic 900 too. Chrysler has the PT cruiser and Crossfire SRT-6 included in the game, how about the 300C SRT-8? Overall, this is an EXCELLENT simulator with an EXCELLENT selection of real-world tracks and cars, in addition to some great original tracks that they created for the game. Note that this is best enjoyed with the driving wheel and pedals. Happy driving.

waste of money
Not fun playing at all. I bought it for my 5 yr old and he hates it. Tried myself and its just too hard to control the car, not realistic or fun to drive.

Timeless game with tonnes of content ! ! !
MUST BUY This version, it has ALL the DLC content that NO Longer is available through Microsoft's online market place. You can NOT Purchase the dlc for this game online , they removed it.When u compare all these car models to the newer games you'll see what a ripoff those DLC packs are with little to no change in the car models themselves.Forza 2 is More challenging then 3 or 4, it takes more effort to make $$ & unlock everything.Graphically this looks just as good as forza 3,4 but slightly less optimized with worse anti-aliasing then 3,4.Also, some slight differences in the way tracks look like where the tree's are & other small details.Bought the Regular version years ago & FINALLY after 3+yrs of searching in Canada got hold of this platinum hits on amazon.comI HIGHLY recommend this version ASAP for ANY race fan ! ! !Lastly,This game can be played across multiple TV's if u have additional xbox's............i can't wait to try that out some day soon.
