will this work to connect up to a saddle valve on the line that feeds the water to the RO system and allows the quick disconnect to into the RO ?

This valve is for a tank. It connects onto the tank and the right quick connect usually connects to the line that goes to the faucet. You may also use it to feed the RO system, but you would have some factors to take into account such as the pressure from the tank and filling the tank initially. This may have just gotten really complicated really fast.
