I LOVED this book. I would read a line, a paragraph, a sentence and have to put it down to think about it or savor it or dream it.. It's lovely lovely lovely.. Totally inspiring and marvelous and astounding. A book that will stay on the top shelf of my library (where my most favorite books are) and never ever be loaned out. I would recommend it most highly to anyone who is interested in dance, no matter what type of dance they do. This book breathes dance! it's beautiful.

If you are fascinated by the world of Butoh and want to delve deeper, I highly recommend this book. It is quite special. Through the words and especially the images, you will feel your way into Butoh. It is a book to treasure, both an autobiography (of sorts), a collation of wisdom words, from Kazuo's workshops and the photographs which speak volumes and bring this magnificent book alive.
