These are very high quality kitchen shears. Not the typical junk you will find in most stores. These are made in Germany. Like the saying goes: buy once, cry once. These are super quality shears that will last a lifetime if you take care of them. They feature micro serrations on one side to "grip" what you are cutting and the other side has a smooth, very sharp edge to make precise cuts. I also love that you can pop off the the little red cap. Under it you will find the nut that holds the two side together. By removing the nut, you can give the shears a deep cleaning. I usually do this about once per year. Again, not cheap. But, once you try quality kitchen shears you will never go back.

Grazie mille. My spouse is German and loves the Zwilling products. I have had many kitchen shears, and these seem to be top of the line. Very sharp and so far are performing very well. Hopefully, they will last as long as I need them.

I was hesitant to buy these because of the price. Now I wonder how I would’ve managed with my home remodeling if I hadn’t bought these absolutely amazing in every possible way scissors. They feature micro serration of the blades, which helps keep even the thickest material in a straight line while cutting. The result is a cut, which might as well have been made by laser. I am so flabbergasted with what these scissors can do. Highly recommend this pinnacle of German engineering.

These kitchen shears cut well and stay sharp. I had a pair for years and the only reason I had to replace them is because they disappeared from my kitchen.

I bought these to replace a lost pair that I had loved for 25+ years. The old pair was solid steel, with some molded plastic to make them comfortable. They were awesome.These scissors are very good, but not quite as well made as the old pair because they don’t seem to be solid steel through the handles. The current all steel model aren’t the same unfortunately. That said, the German made Zwilling are still great. The movement is smooth and they are very sharp, and I am sure will probably last 10-15 yrs, which is not quite the same as my lost ones which have another 30 yrs in them if I can just find them. 😉Overall, I am satisfied, but the quality in even the Zwilling German made scissors has declined a bit from where they were. Worth the money though.

So my daughter had a pair of scissors in her hand, and was ready to cut the hair of the family dog. I told her that she had chosen a very expensive pair of sewing scissors, and asked that she take good care of the scissors and the dog. She did a great job, and I took the scissors to put them away. I realized that I had been, and not for the first time, confused. She had used the kitchen shears.The description of the shears as multi-purpose doesn't do justice. These shears are great for grooming a dog and disjointing a chicken. Any job that can be done with nimble wrists on a chopping block, can be done more safely with a pair of shears. Just like these.

If you're expecting a German manufactured product, this is not it. When I received it, on the package it is clearly stated, "Made in China". I returned it unopened as I was not expecting a China manufactured utensil.

Typical for German craftsmanship and ingenuity, these scissors are as good as it gets. Super sharp and very ergonomic. Easy to clean by simply putting in the dishwasher on the top rack.
