Amazing!
AMAZING! I purchased this for my vacation house in the Poconos! I I wanted an inexpensive way to get internet.... mostly for my security cameras.... This worked Beutifully! First.... the price point is Amazing! Works with T-Mobile and Mint Mobile.... verified with my own Sim Cards! I get spotty reception with my cellphone to begin with.... I mounted this in my roof on one of the rafters and I was able to pickup 3 bars and all is good! There are very few towers and far away at my location! My suggestion is... lookup what towers are near you... see what towers your cell phone connects to and see what bands that tower is using. Compare that to the supported bands on the router... if you gat a match... your good to go! Also.... the wifi range is great! I have a wood framed home.... I have this mounted on the roof.... the signal reaches to the basement and around 50 feet away from my house.. Things would be different in a concrete/ brick structure... I tested this in an apartment building and got bad wifi range! This unit will not accept external cell antennas... verified, I purchased an external antenna and was not detected. Good luck!

Cricket as of July 2021
I can see that your device ZLT P21 is not compatible with the Cricket Network due to network changes. Oh? This is the reason you would not be able to get hotspot plan on your line. How to make it work for internet? As the device is not compatible, you will not be able to use Hotspot data. Phone and sms works Yes, it does work. To improve our network performance and to ensure the best experience, Cricket is retiring the 3G network in February 2022. The device you have will no longer be supported by the network. In order to maintain your service, please insert your SIM into an HD Voice capable device. LTE works Yes, the internet works, however the device will not work after February 2022. It shows 4g though? Still no work? This is a great device, but I see that it is not equipped with to operate with Cricket's HD Voice Network. Cricket recently made network changes that require all devices to be HD Voice compatible on Cricket's HD Voice network.

Rural Internet replacement solution
I saw a YouTube video on how to update this router to spoof the Phone company SIM card into thinking it was in a cell phone with unlimited data. Woo. Long sentence. Now, while I recognize the moral ambiguity of this, I was intrigued with the idea. I life in a rural area with no Internet connection whatsoever. I’ve tried several means of obtaining Internet (Satellite Internet was an expensive disaster), none of them worked. So, with my wife trying to run a business while using the limited hotspot data that comes with our phone plan and listening to her scream every time her computer dropped the connection, I decided I need to do something drastic, when along came a hotspot plan that offered a 100gbs for $50 a month. The question being would 100gbs be enough for the month? That’s when I saw the video showing how to use this particular router as a WiFi hotspot, and with the update and one setting change, I could potentially have unlimited hotspot data (Our phone plan gives us unlimited data for our phones, not the hotspot). So, now with a mission to upgrade our ability to live our lives as the Internet Gods intended, I ordered the SIM card and the Yeacomm P21 router. Now, let me preface this by saying my plan came to fruition and works great. The router gets better signal strength than the Phone company router and I can connect devices via Ethernet ports on the back if I want, too. The wireless coverage covers our entire 3,000 sqf house and attached garage. No WiFi extenders needed. Now for some problems I encountered while trying to set it up: The instructions were written by someone with a limited grasp of the English language. I get it. The router is made in China (Sigh, along with most things these days and yes, I realize my hypocrisy for still buying Chinese made products), so it makes sense the translation was written by a native Chinese speaker and lost a lot in translation. Enough of that. The next problem I had was the method of inserting the SIM card into the slot. The router accommodates three sizes of SIM cards and utilizes inserts to hold the cards in place as you insert the card into the slot. The problem is the inserts don’t hold the card as you try to insert into the slot. So, they supplied a flat metal “tool” to assist with inserting the card. Except they never explain that you need to use this tool or mention the tool in the instructions at all. After several aborted attempts to insert the card, and getting so frustrated I almost returned it, I figured out the puzzle (Insert Chinese puzzle pun here). After that, the router recognized the card and the Ethernet connection was up an running. The wireless connection was another matter. Needless to say, after a couple hours of fumbling around, I figured out how to make everything work. And it works great! Now, aren’t you glad you read 5,000 words of a review to get to the bottom line?

WARNING MAJOR SECURITY FLAW
Product was easy to setup but once online I did a port scan to check for vulnerabilities. Two issues make this a very dangerous modem/router 1) although HTTP (Port 80) is closed on the WAN, HTTPS (433) Port is open and I was unable to close or block. 2) there is a published root account and password and the user is unable to change the password according the the seller (see question answered around page 4) . Only the admin account password can be changed by user. I was able, over the internet, to access the modem configuration page, use the default root logon information to access the entire root level modem confirmation, including firewall and port forwarding. A nefarious person could reroute all your connections to gateway and capture anything you do on the internet. THE FIRMWARE MUST BE FIXED Also there is no VPN supported by the modem

IT WORKS!!!
I cannot believe this. NOTHING in my life is this easy!!! I bought a card and activated. Put it in, did a "test" run to hook up my cell. No problem and fast. .ok, this can't be right. Disconnected that, hooked on my Roku TV. Ah. See there is a problem! Turns out I just had to Capitolize the letters in the pass code. OMG!! IT WORKED!! Really super fast! No buffering! Watched Sling TV!!! THIS IS NUTS!!! OK, Calm down. The real test will be in the truck. I drive truck, I'm only home 2 days a week. I'm paying $80 for internet at home I don't use much, used my cell thru Spectrum with unlimited-but not unlimited at $80. As soon as I use a certain amount it slows it down. Trying to talk on my Portal in my truck is ridiculous when I have gone over. So I came up with this hare brained idea to get a portable hotspot. I'm getting rid of the home internet, and dropping my cell data down to by the gig, to see how much I actually use when I'm out of the truck. Otherwise, everything including the phone will be hooked to this little beauty!

Good for an ethernet port and a 1 room use, beyond that there's issues.
First off, I have done a few home based set ups of modems, routers and wireless devices. I'm not a professional but can follow directions, if given. This review is based off my needs, the most important one was a device that had an ethernet port where I could use a sim card from a jetpack. The same need that may have brought you to this device. I currently have 2 jetpacks, both with unlimited packages (plan is only $10 each). The ethernet port option is the only thing this unit is good for, here is what I experienced-- *The wifi signal is extremely weak. If this unit is in the same room, fine. Move it to the next room over. Not so great. My wireless devices would pick up my router across the yard in my garage or the one on the lower level of my house before this one. This causes hiccups for my wireless devices and everyone knows how annoying that is. I thought I could have 1 internet device upstairs and 1 downstairs. Nope. *Because of the 1st issue above I decided to try a wifi mesh system, this unit being the base. Thinking I could use this to feed all my wireless devices such as my Amazon Fire Sticks, Kindle and echo devices, etc. Noting that typically I only have 1 device running at a time. I just have devices in every room. That did not work either. The unit showed internet signal and connection but would intermittently keep cutting off connection to the base wifi mesh unit. I hooked up my wifi mesh unit to another router to test it and it worked seamlessly. Tells me again that this issue is with this product. Note that I did turn off wifi signal on this modem as recommended by the manufacturer when using a mesh system. Long story short, if you keep this unit in 1 room for wifi and can run an ethernet cable directly to your device then it's fine. Anything beyond that it is useless. Am I missing something in a set up? Possibly, but that would require advanced skills that most users wouldn't have. This unit has its perks but also has it's downside. Hopefully this helped explain them. You can take away with what your needs would be.

Have Been Using It For Over Several Months
----- ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW THIS UPDATE (JAN 2021) ---- I just wanted to come back here since my original review. Still works. But I notice this device is not offered as part of the results when doing a search on '4G LTE modem.' I was trying to find it to update the review thinking it would be the top product in the search result, but I could not find it. Had to go to my orders and searched for it there, to get here. Anyway, will update on durability in a few months again. But we still recommend this 4G LTE (located in USA using T-Mobile) over the other shady alternatives here on Amazon that I would not trust. I did read a new review here reporting there are privacy issues. So I hope the company has patched them with a new firmware update since. ----INITIAL, ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW------- Purchased for when I am on a ship (active duty) in port, used for my own laptop and devices. The modem is easy to set up. I basically inserted a new T Mobile sim card, and can use the data right away. Seems also adequate 4G LTE speeds. Comes with a sim size adapters. This router is rather expensive, but got the best review compared to the others here available on Amazon. so I hope it last for a long while. I will update it in a few months or so, and hopefully it functions as it is supposed to for a long while. My complaint so far is that the antennas do not fold away and sticks out awkward because you have to screw them rigidly on each time when you set it up the router for use. I mean I guess you can leave them on, but they don't fold down, so if you have to carry the modem into your bag, you don't want the antennas sticking out like that and risking them breaking. But so far so good and the data signal was immediate, and I was able to use this 4g LTE router instantly.

Awesome
So I received the device on April 24, 2023 and it has all the features I needed, except band aggregation, since it is actually cat 4 and the USB port on mine does not work. I get good reception on it with some bands, but the band that is fastest for me is 1 bar with approximately 20+ Mbps download. I live in a rural area, where cell signal is an issue, so I had planned to get a cell signal booster to complement this product. By the way, I use mine with a Asus wifi 6 router. The Netgear Nighthawk MR1100 4G LTE or Cudy cat6 or higher would give far better speed for some persons with CA. In my case, the coverage is the bottle neck, as this device is far capable than 20 or 30 mbps. However, for the price I am satisfied. Will update as I go along. Update 28/04/2023: With a bit of tweaking, I was able to hit 70mbps this morning, with an average speed of about 60mbps, which I have never reached on any other modem or device at home.
