just like the ones back in the day's of old. Just what I needed.

Needed to make some RS-232 full loopback test plugs (not just TX/RX, but also loop the other signals) for our test stations at work. Couldn't find anyone selling one here so decided to make our own. Need DB-9F's for that, was concerned after reading reviews that came with all DB-9M's but this one came correct with 9x of both. Came with all the plastic shrouds too which we'll be using. Didn't count the screws and other hardware though, just assuming that part is ok. It came with the cable hold downs if yer making your own cable, and the little metal tab pieces if you are going to be screwing the connector onto the DB-9 port. For what we're doing don't need any of this stuff, but nice to have it if we need them in the future. The box they came in is efficient, it'll keep all that organized.

got package with only db9 male connectors, no female db9's included, should have been both.

Beside being inexpensive, the connectors are really good quality. This is the third one of these I've purchased (I use a lot of 9 pin D connectors).

Acceptable for the price, but not very easy to assemble. Takes a lot of dexterity to get all the parts lined up for screwing the shell together. Often the interconnection screws and retainers would fall out while trying to complete the assembly and I’d have to start over. Also the wire clamp doesn’t hold just two wires securely.
