This light is great value for money, and is very easy to fix and wire-up.However, getting the settings correct with the dip-switches can be a bit of a nightmare. I thought I was going mad, until I considered whether the diagram and description of some of the dip switch settings might be reversed. Once I realised this, it was a little easier to get set-up the way we wanted it. So, if you're struggling, just consider trying the dip switch settings to be the opposite way around from what you think they should be in the instructions!Overall, the value for money, the way it's working now we have it set-up, and how neat the light looks is why I still rate the product so highly. The loss of a star was down to getting it set-up the way we wanted it to work (and I think some people might have chosen to deduct more stars for this alone previously too).

A good light which I use for the porch to give some light in the winter when getting keys out of a bag and for general extra securityIt comes with a variety of settings although some of them are not too obvious but you can eventually work it out. I am posting a copy of them here. The most relevant is "light control setting" which can be set between "day" and "50lux" - here "day" means that the light will come on even in the day time, and "50 lux" means it will only come on in night time (and there are a couple of setting in between).When the light is on the brightness is goodOverall a good light and very easy to install if you have a 240v mains already in place.

I am a qualified/registered electrician and I have fitted lots of these type of lights. My first thought taking it out of the box was that the instructions was a poorly printed photo copy which isn't a great sign of a quality product. The light had a mind of of its own and would work and then wouldn't. It Would come on sometimes during the day even with bright light around, and would often flash on and off. I tried various settings to no avail, so I ordered a cheaper one off amazon that takes an e27 golf ball bulb and that works perfectly. For the reasons stated I won't ever buy another one of these or couldn't recommend them (maybe I was unlucky),

I like the light very much however it is not easy to set the setting as the points are soooo tiny !! that my electrician could not see them so I have just left it as it came perhaps you are supposed to adjust the setting before fitting it but the instructions on the settings are a bit confusing also

Very good just what I need

Have tried a fair few of these type of things over the last few years and often been disappointed to be honest. This item is excellent and very happy. Bought another two off the back of experience with the first one.Unit is nice and bright but not stark. Has huge number of settings, which is very useful, so you can adjust brightness of "recently off" light (which you can switch off altogether), range of sensors, time to remain on, light level to have dropped to before it bothers to switch on at all, etc. Can not fault it. When coming on the light even fades in (quickly but noticebly) which is a nice touch rather than BANG on. Can not fault the light really.Fitted one inside garage (to assist when entering, going to freezer, etc), one outside facing down from overhanging balcony and one by outdoor storage building. All are good and work well. Suggest 4000k colour model as it is still bright but not glaring.
