If it’s not moving water just plug and unplug it a couple times
I got the 5w for my 30 gallon and it works perfect , we’ll I got the larger unit for my 55 gallon and holy that thing caused an absolute tornado , they really should show a rating like from 75 gallon to 125 gallon . Pretty much the smaller unit is good for 20 -30 gallon the larger unit is good for approx 75 or 90 gallons up to 125 gallon in my opinion, everyone’s a little different in what makes them happy
