for the price, a nice bow
I got this bow in order to develop a thumb draw technique, so i needed a lighter draw wt bow then i usually shoot. I bought the bow because of the clean lines and other folks reviews, and because of the price. I am very pleasantly surprised at how well the bow is crafted. Not fancy, but all the parts are well done and nicely finished. It shoots well, and with a couple of string silencers, is very quiet. Now i get my chance to respond to all the reviewers of these Asian bows that complain the string grooves are on the wrong side. If you are one of these folks, LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THE STRUNG BOWS! If you are breaking the string groove notches, or can"t keep a string on the bow, it may be that you have the bow backwards. Stop sending snarky reviews that mislead others. Nuff said.

Solid starter bow
Bought this bow to get started with horse archery - the plan was always to move up to a higher quality bow once I was comfortable with the draw. This one is bare bones, but it works well, especially for the price. At 45 lbs it's accurate up to a decent distance. It creaks when drawn, but I've been shooting it for months now and haven't had any structural issues. Even the string has been holding up. The "leather" (not sure if it's leather) wrap has gotten a bit discolored over time, but that doesn't affect performance at all. I keep it unstrung and it's pretty easy to string, even for my weak self. Recommend it for anyone wanting to try out a horsebow without a pricey first bow.

Good product for beginners
Bought this to practice stringing horse bow and thumb draw. Surprisingly good product given the price, even though I fear it will blow up on my face one day. I remember I got the lowest draw weight. Comes with some gears as well. Good starting bow, if you new, get the lowest draw weight and practice your form.

great bow, the string nocks are cut correctly
great bow for the money, smooth, and quiet. the accessories were ok, the best things were the leather thumb protector and the bow sleeve. i got the 30lb bow, it read out (on a last chance digital bow scale) to 28.8lbs avg at 28” and stacks nicely to around 40lbs at 32”. might get a heavier draw weight in the future. for the people who wrote bad reviews about the string nocks being backwards, please educate yourselves, seek professional help, and get some archery lessons.

Faulty Bow
The bow looks great and was good until the 2nd time I used it. When i did the wood splintered right on the notch that hold the sring and as a result it is now impossible to re-string the bow or use it in any way.

Magyar bow, great value for the price
This is a Magyar (Hungarian) design bow, not Turkish. I've fired several hundred arrows with it, and it is comfortable and I've gotten decently accurate with it. For the price I paid for it I am very happy with it, it's by no means top of the line, but for a novice learning thumb draw it's perfect. I shoot 700 spine arrows with it and they fly beautifully. One thing that I must say is that I saw at least 2 negative reviews for this bow from people who clearly have no clue what a recurve bow is or how it looks unstrung vs strung. A simple Google search would clear this up. No, the string notch is not "on the wrong side", the people making this bow are not imbeciles. Complaining that it doesn't come with "stringing instructions" is like complaining that a pair of shoes comes without instructions on how to tie them. PMZ made a great bow of a time-honored design at an affordable price, just wish they would market it as what it actually is rather than calling it "Turkish". I've attached a photo of my Turkish bow and this one next to each other for reference. Came with a leather thumb ring, finger tab for Mediterranean draw, leather hand protector for the bow hand, and an arm guard, all decent.
