Glacier Glove Abaco Bay UPF 50+ Sun Protection Durable Lightweight Breathable Quick-Dry Fingerless Outdoor Fishing Sun Gloves

Bought these for a fishing trip to Sea of Cortez, Baja Mex and they are great. Good feel, not too tight or too loose with the right amount of stretch. I only wore them 5 days so we'll see how long they last and fit, but if only a season that's better than skin cancer or scaring off fish with sunblock scent (we were not fishing Bluefin Tuna on this trip, but they can be shy to sunblock on hands/bait). I had 50spf sunblock on my arms, and noticiable tan lines where the glove sleeve ended on my arm - so they are blocking the sun quite well. We also has small live mackerels for bait that were super slimy and slippery with bare hands - near impossible to hold outside the bait net. With these gloves it was wayyyy easier to grab and hold live bait. They rinse off quick, and have good grip on rod, reel etc. and a little line protection for casting a 20-30 size conventional using your thumb to prevent backlash. I'm buying another set as a backup, and some for my Dad too. I figure they're much more $$ than sunblock, but the grip factor for live bait is worth every penny. I did get heckled by everyone for wearing fancy looking gloves including folks on other boats, but at the end of the week I had the most weight in cleaned fish, and no sun burn/tan on my hands - so they shut it.

I wear a glove for sun protection when I'm boating, and these are pretty good. They fit well and aren't too hot. I wear them handling lines, on the beach, etc. and I expect to get about 2 years out of them, we'll see. I rated them 4 stars instead of 5 becuase they only go up the forearm about 3 inches. Please see the attached pictures for fit. My last gloves were Dr. Shade, which are pretty worn out after 3 years. They protected the forearm better; as they extended about 5 inches up the arm. I'd buy them again if I could find them. The Columbia Omnishades are pretty good, close fit, kind of a weave fabric, but short also.

Fits my hand (hard to find gloves small enough). Covers down to the knuckles, which is great so your hand and fingers don't get burned but fingertips are free to hold and work a camera or something else. This makes these the perfect gloves for snorkeling while taking photos with an underwater camera, which is why I bought them. But they are so comfortable I used them when I was in the mountains this fall walking and using a camera; definitely kept my hands and fingers from getting cold. Love the blue underwater pattern of these gloves. The only improvement would be a couple very thin strips of something on the fingers to keep the camera from slipping on the smooth surface; not the suede like wide strips on other fingerless gloves which take too long to dry.

I use a power wheelchair. My drive hand is constantly on the joystick with the back of my thumb and wrist exposed. I hate using sunscreen, so when I was outside for extended periods in my wheelchair, I would always get sunburned on the back of my hand.I thought I would give these a try after seeing some folks using them at various national parks.I bought one pair and fell in love with them. I now own 3 pair.Highly recommended.

I wore these every single day while backpacking on the PCT this year. I hiked 800 miles of the trail and the gloves have just developed the first little hole in the thumb. Very durable in my opinion. The logos peeled off fairly quickly on the fingers but the one on the wrist is still holding strong. I also got this sweet tan lines on all my fingers that were poking out but it’s well worth it. Way better than having to put greasy sunscreen on several times a day while in the desert. I also used them for the snow and they even helped with keeping my hands warm to some degree. Layered these with my other gloves and my hands stayed nice and warm when in camp. From the moment I waked up until going to bed I would be wearing these unless going to the bathroom so I got a lot of use on my pair. I would order again but I’m not sure that I’ll have to for a long while since they are holding up nicely. They do get a bit dirty pretty quickly but I would just put them in the wash with the rest of my clothes and they would come out pretty clean looking.

These are fabulous sungloves I wear them during my summer hikes and offer great sun protection while not compromising on the grip. They have a silicone pattern at the palm of the hands which is great for basic bouldering. I'm a beast during hikes and so far I'm surprised they haven't torn or destroyed in the 8 months I've been wearing them.Definitely recommend!

After reading other reviews on UPF gloves, I decided to go with these bad boys. I do not like the feel of sunscreen on my hands, I do have stick sunscreen that I could use, but then the back of my hands would be all white and zinc-y. Instead I wear these and my friends look at me funny, but I will be the one laughing 20 years from now when they have spotted hands from the sun blazing through their windshield.I bought the XL size as I have fat hands, and the finger length is still rather long, but fit great and go a few inches past my wrist. My pinky finger is barely visible, but oh well. I thought these might make me lose grip on my steering wheel, but they grip fine. The stitching is quality on these, the only upgrade I would like is little rubber grippys on the palm side. Maybe for my next pair. I live in Texas and it's been 90F the last few days, which I've done more driving than usual, and I've had no problems with them feeling hot or suffocating. These are a good choice for a good lightweight glove.

After using them for a week while driving 30-60min I immediately noticed that the UPF protection was not present. My skin immediately showed sun damage. I had to borrow a pair of other brand. Very disappointed because the design is very practical but the protection is not there.

Por obligaciones del trabajo en la construccion, necesito pasar mucho tiempo bajo el sol, con temperaturas de mas de 30C. Tenia mis reservas acerca del desempeño de estos guantes, pero despues de usarlos un par de dias estoy convencido de su eficacia.El color es muy claro, casi blanco por lo que sera dificil mantenerlos limpios, la textura es muy suave y el tejido de los guantes es muy elastico. Cuando la brisa pega en los guantes se siente un efecto que maximiza la transferencia termica que hace sentir muy frescos a los guantes y la apertura en las puntas de los dedos te permite manipular el celular o equipos sin necesidad de retirarlos.

Cumple su función principal, que es proteger contra los rayos UV. Compré la talla pequeña, y aún así estaban muy grandes. Soy de México, y en guantes desechables usualmente soy Mediano, así que creo que las tallas no son muy aptas para aquellas personas que normalmente usen chica.Sé que estos guantes no están hechos para manejar (no lo menciona en ningún momento), pero quise hacer el intento para corroborar... Y pues no XD, no son cómodos por que resbalan. Yo los uso normalmente para trabajo en exteriores.

son excelentes guantes, me gustan por que te cubren mas halla de la muñeca de la mano, tengo otros de esta misma marca que tienen carnaza en la palma de la mano para mejor agarre aunque con el tiempo se hacen feos por este materia y estos no tienen la carnaza que comentamos así que duraran sin duda mas tiempo.

No los recomiendo, la tela es muy lisa y todo se te resbala, de deshila muy fácilmente con los anzuelos, protegen muy bien del sol pero la caña se resbala de las manos, me desilusióne bastante de este producto.

Vamos a probarlos, por lo pronto se ajustan bien, la palma deberia tener antiderrapante lo que seria genial a la hora de agarrar la caña y dar el hookset
