Works great with windows mixed reality
Works great with windows mixed reality headsets. Please be aware this contains a Bluetooth 4.0 radio, so no need for a dongle if you get this. I highly recommend everyone with a mixed reality headset to buy this. I use this with 6ft cables to the pc.For the cables to the PC, use HDMI high speed(amazon basics works). Use USB3 type A male to male Superspeed cables(cable matters brand works)Pros: Allows you to extend your headset cable, included Bluetooth radio.Cons: Not really a con, but no cables are power adapter included. Buy the recommend one here. It works fine.

Great for extending Oculus Rift
I bought this product because I was tired of getting HDMI extenders that wouldn't work properly with my Oculus Rift. I've used this for about 10 hours with no problems compared with my previous HDMI repeater and HDMI extender cables. The only negative thing I would say about this product, which isn't an actual problem, is that it doesn't come packed with a power supply. I personally purchased the following to go with it, and it works:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018JL0YIY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Highly recommended if you'd like a proper solution to extending the Oculus Rift. You will also need an extra HDMI cable and USB Male to Male cable, but those are more easily found compared to the power supply.

This absolutley works to extend your Oculus Rift!
I tried all sorts of combination of cables and extenders for my Oculus Rift CV1 and ALL of them eventually failed to keep a signal to the HMD. This little box - even though it is built for the HTC Vive - works wonders to extend my cables. You will need a power adapter AND a USB A to A cable to connect the box to your PC. The only issue I came across is sometimes I have to pull the power on the box for the Oculus software to recognize the HDMI connection and that is usually after my machine comes out of a sleep. As soon as the power gets restored I am up and running.

Works great with my Oculus Rift VR
I had occasional dropout issues with the HDMI across a 15' cable and even with a "powered" Monoprice USB 3.0 15' cable I could only get the headset USB to run at USB 2.0. I needed to get the connectors for the headset about 25' from the PC and after reading about this product I tried it, first at the headset end the 15' cables then with 25' cables. In both cases the HDMI and USB 3.0 performed very well based on my observations of glitch free, smooth operation with the Oculus VR apps including the very demanding iRacing app.

Broken - Just like my original
My original I got was broken. Spent hours talking to HTC support only to have them finally accept that I had already done everything and that as I had said at the start the box was broken. Well to fix it is $30-$50. So to which I said BS. I'll just buy a new one. So I bought this. Guess what? It's broken as well. Complete waste of money and time. Highly disappointed. Oh just to let you know you don't actually need the box. The HDMI didn't work on either but you can get a few converters and boom done, plus you get father range if you do that. Its what I did. Much better (cheaper too!)

A must for extending Oculus Rift cables
I'm using this (with a power supply) for my Oculus Rift.I had originally extended the headset HDMI and USB cable with 6' cable extensions and from time to time, Windows would show an error that said the headset disconnected.... I could simply unplug the hdmi, plug it back in and the game would continue. However with the more recent updates to Oculus software, when this happened, it just froze or crashed the games - everything I ran was suddenly crashing.I got this and now run a 6' regular HDMI cable, and 6' USB cable from the computer to the Link Box - then the headset runs into the Link Box. I have not had one single crash with my Oculus since get this. Very worth the price due to the fact that my Oculus is usable again.Highly recommend if you are extending the cables on an Oculus Rift - you want the powered box here to ensure that length of cables doesn't cause issues like I had.

Part Cheap, Problem not Fixed
So my vive headset suddenly stopped working. I found that if I connect the power to the link box but connect the other cables directly to the pc, it would work. I read that that could mean the vive box isnt working if the other cables were, and the price on the part isn't bad so I bought it. Turns out it still didn't work so i have two of these laying around and a pretty cool paperweight. I can still use it if I connect it directly but it means I have to be more careful with my movements while using the Vive. Anyways 3 stars because it may or may be working but it is still a cheap part.

Overcame the cable limitation of the Samsung Odyssey+
One of the issues with the WMR headsets is a relatively short set of cables which hinders the ability to move in a room. With my PC sitting under my desk, it left me with a very short leash. This box has allowed me to put the ports for the Odyssey+ on the front of my desk and leverage the full length of the attached cables. As others have said, buy the recommended power adapter and 6' extension cables. I also ordered some Velcro ties and strips to mange the cables and hold the box to the underside of the desk.

Just the box, no cables, but just what I needed.
I didn't go team vive, and opted for an Oculus Rift. Sad to find out my laptop wasn't meant for VR, but after a forum search, someone got theirs working with this breakout box on a Dell Laptop with a 1050ti. It worked for me. After I upgraded to a new VR desktop? It still worked. If you need a way to extend your cable length pretty far, this is not a bad option, but it is still as expensive as buying a 10ft UGREEN USB 3.0 cable, a 4k repeater and a 10ft HDMI 4k cable - only difference is that this is all in one box!Be weary for you will still need an HDMI, a USB 3.0 cable with two male ends and a DC power supply for it to work with a rift. (No cables are included with the box).

Works with WMR & alleviated Headset Flickering
Works extremely well with WMR (Samsung Odyssey) and has eliminated the flickering so far which is what I purchased it for.It helped a little with the MR Portal errors, but that seems to be a Windows 10 error vs the headset. Overall I am very happy with it! The only gripe, like others have mentioned, is that you need to purchase all the cables separately.

Does the job.
Used to extend Oculus rift cables. 12ft before link box, 12ft extension, then oculus cable.Previously I could only drive the Oculus cable with no extension, now the whole run works fine.Only caveat, it has to be reset occasionally(once every day or two), either HMD unplugged, or strangely one eye stops working. An unplug and replug fixes it every time.(to be clear, this could be a usb issue from the motherboard that is driving it)

Works as expected
This worked to extend cable length for my Samsung Odyssey Plus (+). I have 15 feet of cabling going to this and the Odyssey Plus hooked up to the other end. No issues at all.Power cord is sold separately.
