Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" Is A Great Classic Rock Album!
I remember the first time I heard this album in the late 70's and loved it immediately for its catchy guitar riffs and energy. Although, Ted Nugent has many great albums in his album catalogue, "Cat Scratch Fever" is still my favorite album from him. I like almost all the songs on this album but the best ones to me are "Cat Scratch Fever", "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang", "Death By Misadventure", "Sweet Sally", and "A Thousand Knives."Unlike the poor quality packaging reissue of the "Free-For-All" CD, the reissue of this "Cat Scratch Fever" packaging and remastered sound quality were very good. This CD is nothing but a great classic rock album and still sounds good today as it did back then.

Only one Ted; and only one Cat Scratch Fever. Must have for all rockers.
I saw the wild man at the Orpheum Theater in Moline, IL, when Rush opened for him!; and before Cat Scratch Fever came out. I'm revealing my age; but I've got all Ted's stuff; mainly because I had to learn his riffs when I was playing guitar myself. Although he never compared to the master of string slinging, Eddie Van Halen; Ted's rock 'n roll style, range and music is like none other, and copied by many wannabes over the decades. This is a MUST HAVE album, right behind the original, simply "Ted Nugent" -- for anyone who is a hard core rock 'n roller, or aspiring rock guitarist and composer. (Just my opinion.)

Terrible Ted at his best....
What can you say? It's Ted Nugent. People either love him or hate him and there isn't much room in between. In the 70's he had a pretty decent run of albums capped off by the excellent Double Live Gonzo. As for his moment where it all seemed to click I'd personally go with Cat Scratch Fever. Obviously it's a radio hit and arguably his best known single but even the deeper cuts have a certain edge to them he unfortunately wasn't able to repeat but randomly as time went on. Still sounds great today and even better remastered. *****

Memories of my youth.
I remember this album when it came out when I was in High school, I thought I would buy it again on CD. I listen to it on headphones and in the car to bring back the better days of my life. The CD sounds very good and the songs are great by Ted.

i may not always agree with what comes out of his mouth during interviews. but that does not stop me from acknowledging the fact that this cd is pure rock and roll bliss and again, thanks amazon, the price was great as well.
