Once you take the clear plastic spice holder off it's just the bear blade with no fail safe. For example the blade stopped and when I opened it the blade started back thankfully I hadn't sat it down or dropped it in my lap. Otherwise it's cheaply made hard to take the spice holder on and off and when you try to unscrew it the body of the thing starts unscrewing from everywhere. It grinds super fast but it doesn't grind evenly at all half of its particlized and the other half is chunks. Definitely not worth the buy scary and it's junk.

I've only used it's five times with dried and light garden herbs.Motor is not strong at all so if your hoping for a crazy zippy motor that will chew it all up....forget about it.But it has worked well for me with very light use only.My advice is to order a smaller motor off eBay for $5 and let that baby rip....oh and sharpen the dang blades!

I bought this product because I needed a easy and quick way to mix my acrylics due to the fact that I am a nail tech. But, I have only had this product for a month and it has already broken down on me. I have only used it 7 times and no matter how many times I replace new batteries, the thing won't turn on. Do yourself a favor and invest in a good mixer for your needs.

It broke the 4th or 5th time I used it. I used it for breaking up medication. Honestly, I think it would've broken sooner had I been using it for breaking up sticky plant matter.

Put brand new batteries in it and it doesnt work. Small yellow tag says "Remove battery tag before use." No literature or indication kf what that is and nothing obviously looking like a tag. The blades are far from the base. Which would not grind finely, even if it did work. You dont get to choose color. This is getting returned.
